“I love being a housewife. I am dead serious. There is enormous satisfaction when you’re a mother and you’ve gotten through a day. I can’t explain it. It’s different than being satisfied about your work life, which makes you worry more.”

Wanda Sykes: Daughter Isn’t Impressed By Twin’s Crawling

Jemal Countess/WireImage

After a few jitters as a first-time mom, Wanda Sykes jokes during a humorous visit to The Jay Leno Show that she is liking motherhood — and plans to tough it out with her fraternal twins.

“I had some thoughts about moving on, but I was like, ‘No, I’m going to stick with it,’” she says. “I’m stayin’ with motherhood.”

And while she may have refrained from making a quick exit, the New Adventures of Old Christine star reveals that her 9-month-old son Lucas Claude is — literally — all about moving forward these days! Sharing that her baby boy has mastered crawling, Wanda and her wife Alex have yet to spot that same motivation in his twin sister Olivia Lou.

“She just sits there and she watches him crawl and she just looks at him like, ‘Look at that dumbass just wasting all that energy. The maid only comes once a week so these floors are filthy, look at them!’” she laughs.

According to Wanda, unlike her brother, baby girl has already discovered the power behind her set of lungs.

“You can just see her in her little brain just going on like, ‘You know they will pick you up and take you to where you need to go,’” the comedienne jokes.

“She’s like, ‘Watch this, Wahhh!’ And we run over and pick her up and she’s like, ‘Look at this, look at this! I’m moving! I’m moving! I’m moving!’”

Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife, Jaclyn, who announced their pregnancy in December, have found out the sex of the baby — and they can barely contain their excitement.

“We’re having a boy!” Scott excitedly volunteered to Celebrity Baby Blog exclusively at the Saturday Night Spectacular party hosted by Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy.

The couple, who have two children — daughter Milán Hayat, 3, and son Jagger, 11 — realize that adding a new baby to the mix will change their lives.

“I think every year, our relationship evolves and grows,” stays Scott, “and with a new child comes new responsibility. But I tell you what, I fall in love with Jaclyn more and more every day.”

Scott, 36, and his wife have chosen a name for the baby, due in July: Daniel, after Jaclyn’s brother.

Pete Wentz Enjoys Making Babies

He’s only been a father for 14 months, but it’s a job rocker Pete Wentz says he’d love to try again.

“We are very lucky and hope to have another child at some point,” Pete — who has a son, Bronx Mowgli, with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentztells PEOPLE during Hard Rock International’s Rock & Soul Party Friday night near Miami.

Adds the rocker: “We also like doing what you have to do to have a baby!”

“My child has taught me selflessness, patience and how to give this unexplained kind of love,” Pete, 30, says at the party, where he was asked to deejay by football agent Drew Rosenhaus. “I can’t explain this kind of love, but Ashlee, who is just an awesome mom, shares this feeling with me.”

As for his other job, bassist for Fall Out Boy, Pete says he’s looking for new challenges now that the fate of the band remains uncertain.

“I am solo tonight, but I won’t sing or perform a song,” he says. “I will just deejay. As for the breakup with the band, all I can say is that for now I want to chill.”

CBB Review: OK to Wake! Alarm Clock and Nightlight

Courtesy of Onaroo by American Innovative

Sometimes it’s hard for early-rising toddlers to understand their parents need a few extra winks of sleep before starting their day. Now, thanks to the brand new OK to Wake! Alarm Clock and Nightlight ($30) from Onaroo by American Innovative that conversation just got a whole lot easier. Super cool and kid-friendly, it’s a great way to introduce the little ones to a daily routine.

Things we like: The initial set-up is a breeze. And programming the time is just as simple, consisting of just a few quick steps. Our favorite setting is the alarm. Once you choose a time, the entire clock will glow green each morning to let your child know it’s “OK to Wake!”.

The clock also features a handy nap timer and a yellow nightlight that turns on when you press the left toe button. Added bonus: When your kid’s a little older, this adorable device turns into a traditional alarm clock.

We love the fun and modern look, which will blend in nicely with any preschooler’s decor. It also comes with two faceplates — green bug or pink flower — so it can be customized for a boy or a girl.

Things we didn’t like: You have to check the batteries often because when they are running low, the display doesn’t shine as bright.

CBB Rating: A great, reliable product that might just net you an extra hour (or two) of sleep — for a little while at least!

Rosie O’Donnell On Protecting the Emotional Health of Her Children

Tags: Kids, Parenting

In A Family Is a Family Is a Family, Rosie O’Donnell examines modern family life. Footage of her own four children with former partner Kelli Carpenter appears in the documentary, despite their breakup, and Rosie says she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Kelli and I had been working on what kind of arrangement our family was going to proceed in for the last two and a half years,” she tells Reuters. “I never once thought to stop doing the documentary.” As for how the kids are handling their changing family dynamic, Rosie says that all is well, noting “it’s different when gay people with children separate.”

“It is not as dramatic as what you stereotypically think with heterosexuals, where one person walks out … It was more of a collaborative effort of how are we going to proceed and make sure of the most important thing — which is that the emotional health, the heart and soul of these kids, remains intact.”

Adding that “the greatest thing you can teach your child is how to deal with adversity,” Rosie opines that “even though change is scary, sometimes it is necessary.”

At least one thing remains unchanged for the 47-year-old radio talk show host, however. When asked about what she thinks of first in the morning, Rosie replies,

“Where the kids are. Who is up.”

Rosie and Kelli are parents to Parker Jaren, 14, Chelsea Belle, 12, Blake Christopher, 10, and Vivienne Rose, 7.

A Family Is a Family Is a Family airs throughout the month on HBO. The Carpenter-O’Donnell’s are pictured below at a screening of the film on Jan. 19th in New York City.
