Poor Marcia Gay Harden.  Carrying twins.  Not only has she gained a lot of weight, she’s got herself some weird 1960’s Romeo & Juliet hairdo (my husband says "out of Star Trek").

Marcia told USAToday, "Every time the fans start screaming ‘Marcia,’ the babies start kicking," she said.   Asked whether she brought any lucky charms, she patted her belly and said, "Just these two."

"Isn’t that the best looking, like, pregnant dress you’ve ever seen?"  -Jack Black on Will Ferrell’s very pregnant wife Viveca Paulin’s dress.  She’s due in March.

Peter Jackson’s got a bump…  How far along is he?  Just kidding.

He’s not pregnant but man, is he hot!!!  I could stare at Jude Law’s receeding hairline and mole all day long.  Yum.

Watching Will and Grace and can’t believe how obvious it is that Debra Messing is pregnant despite the kaftans they’re dressing her in and couches they’re putting her behind.  It’s cute.

Other shows trying to hide it are Friends where they hide Courteney Cox behind clothes and King of Queens which is hiding Leah Remini behind big purses (huh?).

I like how they explained Kathryn Erbe’s preganancy in Law and Order: Criminal Intent- her character Det. Alexandra Eames was acting as a surrogate mother for her sister.  (Her son, Carson Lincoln Kinney, was born October 5, 2003.)

During this past Saturday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, it really seemed like Maya Rudolph’s belly had a pregnancy pooch quality to it.  During the credits of the show, fellow cast member Seth Myer even put her hands on her belly.  So I googled "maya rudolph pregnant" and found that people have been speculating for a while that she may be pregnant. 

However, since they’ve been speculating since 2002 and last fall, how can it be possible that she is the same amount of pregnant? 

Unless I hear otherwise, I’m going to put her at 3-4 months pregnant.

   
-As previously reported, Matt LeBlanc and wife of 10 months, Melissa, welcomed daughter Marina on February 8.
-Law & Order: SVU’s Christopher Meloni (yum) and wife Sherman (Sherman?) announced the birth of their second child, Dante, born on January 2.
-Bridget Jones’ author Helen Fielding gave birth to a son on February 1.

   
The current issue of In Touch Weekly, my new favorite trashy magazine, features the cover story, "Baby Drama!" 

Gwyneth’s going to be one of those skinny ladies who doesn’t really pop until she’s much further along.

Courteney’s looking so cute.  Her belly kind of looks like mine on a normal non-pregnant day.

Debra’s looking a little bloated, on the other hand.

Twins are the thing.

Then there’s Geena Davis.
Martie Seidel, from the Dixie Chicks just announced that she is expecting twins.
Soledad O’Brien, co-host of CNN’s American Morning, is expecting twins too.

Debra Messing registered as Debra Zelman (her married name) on Babystyle.  Go ahead, send a $7 bib, the least expensive item on her list.  I wonder if she would send a thank you note.

Just in Time For a ‘Friends’ Finale
"Friends" star Matt LeBlanc and wife Melissa have given birth to a beautiful baby girl. The 7 lb. 1 oz. bundle of joy arrived just weeks before her dad’s hit show comes to an ends. Matt has already begun work on a spin-off that takes his character "Joey" to L.A. Best wishes to the happy family!

Pet Peeve

It wasn’t until I started regularly reading trashy magazines like US Weekly that I realized the use of "bump" to describe a pregnant woman’s belly.   It drives me nuts.  I don’t know why.  Why can’t they just call it a belly?
