Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney marry
Wow. Total whirlwind courtship! Maybe kids are on the way? People are already speculating that they married so quickly because she’s pregnant.
Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger, 36, and country music star Kenny Chesney, 37, were married Monday in a small ceremony on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a publicist for Renee has confirmed. The ceremony took place in front of close friends and family. It was the first marriage for both, although Renee was previously engaged to Jim Carrey, and Kenny called off his engagement in 1999 just weeks before the wedding,
The couple met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit Jan. 15, where Chesney was singing and Zellweger was answering telephones. The public first learned of their relationship on April 29th, when Renee brought Kenny a margarita and a kiss onstage at his concert in Florida.

I am upset to hear that Kenny is married, because he is my favorite country singer. I didn’t even have any idea that he and Renee were dating. I guess that I am happy for them, however, I don’t think the marriage will last long. I had read an article not too long ago, saying how he wanted a family, etc…but that he wasn’t prepared to give that up anytime soon. Maybe she is pregnant, who knows????

Isn’t he gay? Maybe he’s hoping to squash those rumors. I’m just not buying this union being true love, it’s right up there with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. JMO though.

I am a big Kenny fan, and I didn’t even know that they were dating! I guess they kept it pretty private. Well, congrats to them, Renee is not one of my favorite actresses, (except for Chicago, I love that movie, LOL), but I hope everything works out for them.

Ally, that was an extremely rude thing to say. Kenny is NOT gay…it’s one of those stupid RUMORS that people who dislike him like to start.
I will believe that they got married when I hear it from Kenny and Renee THEMSELVES! Not some publicist!!! There wasn’t even a confirmation that they are dating for crying out loud.

I thought she was still dating Iris hsinger Damien Rice in January. It cant be more than two months since I heard she was in the country and met his parents and was reportedly househunting in the area. Can anyone shed some light on this? I love her and Damien togther.
But on the other hand if she is married best of luck to her and Kenny. It’d be great if a little one is on the way

What’s with this quick Hollywood marriages/babies??? I just don’t get it. I know celebrities are notorious for not taking marriage seriously, but it seems like within the past year, they are getting married within 2 or 3 months of first meeting one another and a month after the wedding – there’s a baby announcement. It’s just crazy if you ask me. I believe in love at first sight, but would it hurt to get to know the person a little more?! Geez….

I would say it is a safe bet that they ARE in fact married because both of THEIR publicists confirmed it. I was shocked as all get out this morning. The dream is dead. I thought he was going to marry ME! LOL.

Wow! Speedy for sure! I’m from Nashville and there were local rumors about the two of them being spotted together romantically but I don’t think anyone was expecting marriage so soon.
It’s good though, I think, that they aren’t habitual marry-ers. This is a first marriage for both and they’re both in their mid-30s.
Otoh, I doubt she’s pregnant, though I’d love it if they were! And I truly don’t mean this rudely as I think she’s lovely but I wonder if she’s too thin to even get pregnant? If you dip below a certain body fat percentage your body can stop ovulating. Just a thought and I hope that’s not the case.

I was thinking the same thing that she is expecting. I hear that the New York Post is saying that they meet in January and just went public last month that they were together. Only time will tell if it was a quicky marrage because she is with child.

I’m such a big Kenny fan…i think he’s one of the best performers and i just wanted to respond to people who are saying that it’s not love or it won’t last. If you are a true Kenny fan you would be happy and supportive for him, because obviously she makes him happy. I also wanted to say that just because they got married so quickly doesn’t mean it won’t last. My dad married my stepmom two weeks after he met her, and I have never seen two people more in love. I think that when you meet “the one” you just know it..and maybe that’s what happened..sorry to have written a novel here..but congrats to the new couple!!

I don’t really care for his music (it’s too schmaltzy for my taste) but they both seem like pretty normal people. It’s a little fast, but who knows.
I don’t think she’s pregnant though. At her age (mid 30s?) I’m thinking it wouldn’t happen that fast, especially given that she is so thin, she might not even be ovulating regularly.
Just a thought.

Of course I believe it now. I didn’t believe it at first because there have been WAY too many false rumors going around about Kenny(I do belong to the official fan club after all). I’m tired of all the false BS and wanted to make sure it was true before anything else.
