Britney shops for girl clothes at Petit Tresor
Britney Spears bought tons of designer infant clothes — all for girls — at Petit Tresor, a high end baby store, recently. "I don’t think it was a present for someone else-She was buying a lot," says a source. Britney also stocked up on such accessories as blankets and bibs. A rep at the store confirmed Britney’s shopping spree but declined to give details. "She was very private, and we respect that," said the rep. "And she was also very pleasant."

She recently mentioned in that people magazine article that they don’t know the sex of the baby “YET” but that they were going to find out. I don’t know if she found out or not though but I feel the same way Heather does…She could just be stocking up on clothes for both sexes. I do think she is having a girl though.

My gut feeling is that she and Kevin already know but don’t want to share with the world, at least not right now. Why stock up on clothes for both sexes if you plan to find out anyway? Sharon Stone was also seen buying girl clothes shortly before Roan was born, so who knows.

I would not want to share with the world immediately either. Every woman should have some privacy when it comes to her pregnancy.

I agree with Ally–why stock up on clothes for both sexes if you are going to find out, anyway? (Why someone would buy clothes for both sexes when they are only carrying one child for ANY reason is beyond me. I guess that’s what being wealthy is!
)

So, do you guys think she is having a girl? I wonder why US magazine stated that she was having a boy 2 months ago??? They even mentioned it on WEEKEND UPDATE on SNL that she was having a boy-but I thought that was too soon to find out the sex when you are only 3 months preggers. Now that she is almost 6 months she can find out…or already has.

The report about her having a boy originated in Arizona. Britney went shopping at a maternity store and the clerk asked her “pink or blue?”. She reportedly said, “I’m having a boy!”. I think she’s having a girl.

well…I think that the paparazzi would have caught her out shopping. They follow her everywhere so shouldn’t there be photos of her out shopping for little girl?clothes. I think its a boy.

I read after the Florida miscarriage scare that they’d found out it was a girl, then two weeks later the same publication said, referring to the same incident, that they’d found it was a boy. Either way, they said she was 3 to 31/2 months, and that’s too soon to find out unless there’s an amnio, which no one has mentioned, and would be unusual for someone so young, and also rather early, most of those are done in month 4 or 5. They may just be saying they don’t know, they said they weren’t expecting for a long time too, even threatened to sue publications over it, remember? And saying “blue”, shopping for all girl things, can all be part of the game! Could go either way, anyway, my nephew was to be a niece clear up to an ultrasound just prior to delivery, and others have been told boy when it turned out to be girl. It’s fun to speculate, and even use technology available, but I never believe 100% till they’re here!

in touch weekly says its a boy as does us weekly, but so far the only mag that says its a girl is star magazine. Well…when Britney’s baby is born, we’ll know whose right.

I hope she has a girl. Also, Did anyone ever see that episode of a Baby Story when the couple had triplets and they had an ultrasound done and the doctor told them they were having 3 boys so the couple did the nursery all in a sports theme and they ended up having 3 girls! It was so funny!

Yes, I loved that show! And as hard as it is to get a clear view of one baby sometimes, and given that multiples are usually a bit smaller,and crowded, I don’t know how a tech could even find enough “info” to guess! As my nephew in Iraq, who became a daddy May 6, says, as long as there’s ten fingers, ten toes, and healthy, the world is good! It’s fun to try if that’s what the couple wants, but keeping in the back of your mind it could go either way is probably best. I still “feel” like it’s a girl, but we’ll see.

There have been reports in the past where celebs were spotted buying gender specific clothes only to have the opposite months later. So who knows. I saw the store owners talking on E! earlier today, and they did say that she was looking in the boys section too but that she was mostly focusing on the girls’. So it’s not automatic that she went in only to buy girl clothes. She could still not know and have been shopping for both but didn’t like the boys selection at that store. I personally think that they probably do know but just don’t want to tell. Which they have every right not to. One or possibly both shopping incidents could be a ploy. She might of said she was having a boy earlier to throw tabloids off, or she might be shopping for girl clothes to throw them off as well. It’s not as though she doesn’t have the money to blow on clothes her baby will never use. If I had to guess though, I would say girl. I’ve thought girl since she announced she was pregnant. Everyone has a 50/50 chance of being right, we’ll see in a few months.

Didn’t Kevin just have another baby girl right before him and Brit got marrie? Could those be the clothes she bought? She could be hopeful that she could then use them with her baby.
Anyone know yet how far along she is or when she is due. I am 23 weeks and my belly is nowhere near as big as hers, I am thinking she could be close to 28 weeks!
