"I was too emotional [when I was pregnant]. I cried at the drop of a hat. It’s Hallmark commercials, it’s anything you could possibly imagine. Not even Hallmark. It’s a coffee commercial, and they pick up [the cup of coffee] and I’d go [crying] ‘Ooooh, it’s coffee!’"

Britney’s Nursery Preparations

Tags: News

by auditioning contributor Laura

Britney Spears has paid out approximately US$108,000 preparing a nursery for her new baby. She hired two interior designers to create the perfect room for the infant, rumored to be named Preston, and reportedly told them that money was no object. So far, she has included expensive toys and designer alder wood furniture, and a mural of nature scenes is now being painted in anticipation of the baby’s arrival next month.

The amount Britney has spent has astonished husband Kevin Federline. A source close to the couple said, "Kevin keeps teasing Britney about the amount of money she is spending on someone who hasn’t even been born yet…He often jokes that he has competition from the new man in her life, because she has never designed a room for him."

In other preparations, Britney has booked the Kabbalah Los Angeles headquarters for a September blessing for the baby nine days after her baby is due.

She’s reserved the Kaballah Center for a blessing when the baby is nine days old? Brittney, it is called a Bris. And for practicing Jews (like myself) it is a very important and meaningful rite of passage for a baby boy.

When did we find out she’s having a boy??? I want my next to be a boy…i have 2 little girls: Adalyn Micaela (age 4), and Nataleigh Sara-Beth (age 6 weeks)

  4. Gwen Says:

So she’s booked the kabbalah centre for a day in which the baby might not even be born? Good thinking, Brit. My daughter was 10 days late and your kid could be, too. Unless you’re planning your c-section, of course.

I am all about a cute baby room, but come on & let’s be reasonable. For anyone who doesn’t have tons of money to just throw away, nice furniture (that you don’t have to mortgage your house for), some toys & a good paint job & your room is ready. I have 3 small children (4, 2 & 9 months) & they sleep in their rooms & that’s about it. Why play in their rooms when there is the rest of the house to terriorize!
And as far as Kevin’s comment about her not designing a room for him-he didn’t bring as much to the relationship financially as she did & they don’t live in a trailer so I guess what I am trying to say is SHE DESIGNED THE WHOLE HOUSE for him!

“new man in her life” huh? sounds to me like it’s a boy. they said the baby will be arriving next month, so does that mean october or september? given today is only the second day of september, the article was most likely written in august. unless they want to confuse us further! lol…

out of the names i’ve heard her consider, i’d shoot for sean preston. but that’s just me.

  7. Scarlett Says:

People that practice Kabbalah do not have to be jewish and alot aren’t jewish. They do not do things like jews do.. it’s completely different but it’s NOT a religion.

Out of her names I like London Preston by far! It is a bit ridiculous to spend that much on a room but Britney definately has the money to throw away!

  8. Tequilamonky Says:

Is that the ceremony I think it is? Ouchie for poor little London! Sure does sound like she’s planning that C-Section. What a shame, giving birth to my baby was one of the best moments in my life I would feel sad if she hadn’t evenm given herself the chance to experience it.
