Morgan Freeman’s Red Cross auction for Katrina Victims at Charity Folks

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has partnered with Charity Folks and the American Red Cross to host the official online disaster relief auction. This initiative will enable the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to victims of Hurricane Katrina as well as the thousands of other disasters that the Red Cross responds to each year. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.

Charity Folks has waived all selling fees in this auction to aid The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. After accounting for the fees being charged by the credit card processing companies, between 96.5% – 100% of your final bid on each auction item will benefit The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Items being auctioned off include: autographed photos, posters, books, CDs and DVDs, passes to movie premieres and after parties, meeting celebrities,  and even walk-on TV roles.
