I am seriously going to post an eviction notice
I know I said that the last pregnancy update was going to be the last one, but this really is the last one. Here’s me as of Sunday, October 9. Yes, we are past due. However, first babies are typically late (why?) and due dates are just estimates anyway (only 5% of babies are born on them).
Until last week, I had been feeling okay but I started having back pain when I stand or walk. Getting to sleep has been pretty much impossible (which explains why I am posting this at 2 am!), let alone staying asleep. Also, even though everyone has said that they run out of room at the end and move less, my kid hasn’t gotten the memo and is constantly squirming. It feels like she’s beating me up from the inside. She likes to stick her butt out and stretch her legs so you can literally see a defined bump or point on my right side.
This baby must really like it inside of me because she has not made any in-roads towards coming out. (As you can see in the photo, she has not dropped yet.) Can you blame her? It’s warm, squishy, dark and she never has to worry about what time dinner will be served. I keep trying to tell her how cool it will be when she comes out- how her dad and I will hug her all the time and give her lots of kisses, but she doesn’t know from that yet. My brother and his fiance have even said they will give her a cookie if she comes out soon. However, if she does not emerge on her own, we will be inducing labor at the end of the week so keep your eyes open for an announcement this weekend.

She’s already being stubborn and she’s not out of the womb yet. I hope she’s not as tough when you induce labor.
Good luck.
♥ And hopefully, you’ll find a way to catch up on some sleep.

You look great Danielle – and my sister (who is due in 5 weeks) her baby is doing the same bum imprint on her – it’s hilarious!

When I was in the womb, I apparently stayed in there a MONTH past my due date (i’m a first child too)! I guess in 1975, there wasn’t a push to induce! Good luck and congratulations in advance! We are all thinking of you!

Not even here yet and she already knows who calls the shots! LOL! They come when they want to come, if not coaxed out sooner. Hang in there. This WAS the most uncomfortable time for me and I didn’t think I would have an intact internal organ by the time my children made their entrace into the world. Best wishes and please DO share!

lol oh no danielle. Here I was thinking, that you were already going into labor or might have had your baby perhaps. Are there any risks involved if a baby is past its due date?
Anyway good luck to you and your husband!

You look absolutely wonderful. . . Here’s hoping I look half as good when I get pregnant
I was actually just wondering about whether or not you had the baby this weekend–I mentioned it to my husband even! Best of luck, and I think I can speak for all your readers when I say that I hope everything goes as smoothly as it possibly can.

Lol! I know exactly how you feel. I gave birth 3.5 months ago and had to be induced because I was 10 days past due! I was so uncomfortable and I had the problem where there was no more room for her to go so she was poking out everywhere! I cried many days during that time because I just wanted her out. All I can say is it will all be over soon and then you will have a beautiful baby girl! I can’t give you any tips on getting comfortable because at that stage, it really is impossible. Good luck and let us know what happens. Hopefully, if you are induced it will go quickly, that’s what happened to me…

Awww, Hang in there it’ll all be over soon. I was one of those late babies-My mom was due 2/16/80, and I didn’t come out until 3/4/80 plus it was a leap year too. I was the 2nd child. I was 7lbs 11 oz, the only thing was I was cooking so long that when I came out my skin was peeling off and I was very red.

Oh my God you are the cutest little pregnant mommy ever!!! She’s waiting for something. Makes me wonder which one of you gave her that “stubborn” gene. Hope all goes well.
