It’s a boy for Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster
Rod Stewart, 60, and Penny Lancaster, 34, welcomed their first child together, a son, on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 2:24 a.m. in St. John and St. Elizabeth Hospital in London. He weighed in at 7lbs, 7oz. The little boy’s name was not released.
"Both Penny and our baby son are gorgeous, healthy and doing well," said Rod. "I am so very proud of my girl Pen for the commitment, courage and strength she showed throughout." Penny said, "It means so much to Rod and I that we were able to keep to our birthing plan and have our baby naturally. It was the most empowering and spiritual experience of my life."
Rod also said they are "Celebrating every moment with our beautiful boy, we just can’t take our eyes off him."
The couple had previously announced that they planned to do a water birth – perhaps they got their wish?
