Adopt a family for the holidays
My future sister-in-law is a social worker in Brooklyn, NY, and just informed me that none of her agency’s families were adopted this year. I was already planning to adopt two as well as buy a bunch of toys that they can give out to all of the kids they work with but I’d like to do more so I’ve been getting in touch with all of my friends and family to see if they’d be interested in contributing towards helping out more families. Someone suggested I post on the site to see if any of you would be interested.
If you are, please email me and let me know how you’d like to help. Options include sending toys directly to the agency or contributing money towards adopting the families (I’ll do the shopping). Obviously, shopping days before Christmas are ticking away so time is of the essence!

Hello! I teach 4th grade in Brooklyn. This would be a great project for my class to do something nice for a family in need. Please send me the info (what to get, what ages and sizes to buy for, etc.) as soon as possible so I can get a note home to the kids’ families about this. Thanks!
