"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Introducing Mia Rebecca Hewitt!

Mia_hewitt_coverProud parents Bec and Lleyton Hewitt have released the exclusive photos of their first child, daughter Mia Rebecca, in Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine. Tennis star Lleyton was present for the entire birth on November 29 and says, "It’s amazing to call ourselves a little family at last … I couldn’t be happier. To see a baby coming out of your wife’s body after nine months, and to think you made her together."

HewittsLleymia Mia arrived on her due date at Sydney’s North Shore Private Hospital at 1:45am after Bec had felt her first contraction just 8 hours previously, "It wasn’t quite the four-and-a-half hour labour people think – it was a bit longer than that – but it could have been worse," says Bec, who had an epidural to cope with the pain. Speaking of her husband’s parenting skills, Bec says "He’s great, you know, a really hands-on dad, changing nappies and everything. And he can’t wait to give her a kiss when he gets home from tennis practice every day. I think she’s going to be very spoilt, but she’ll bring us many years of happiness!" And Bec says that even though it’s hard to tell hoe Mia looks like, "When I feed her, I see Lleyton’s eyes, and she has a dimple in her chin like the both of us. That was one of the first things I noticed when she was born."

She is adorable there is no doubt about that! I will never understand why people think you have to have kids before you can call yourself or be considered a family. A husband and a wife are a family (yes, I know these 2 are not married yet) whether they have kids or not. Having children only adds to your family, not creates one.

  2. Kirrily Says:

I agree with you DJ, a couple is a family.
And I’d just like to add that lleyton and Bec are married!

  3. FC Says:

Everyone’s interpretation of family is different. Maybe they can actually feel like they’re a true family with their daughter added to the mix–a growing family with a child included.

    But anyway, she’s a little sweetheart. She’s adorable. :)
