The Boom Boom Room

I just flew out to the west coast and boy are my arms tired!  I’m in Los Angeles, having just attended celebrity style insider Jayneoni’s fabulous Boom Boom Room, a luxury gifting suite for Tinseltown’s tiny tots and big kids.  The ultimate kids closet and toyland featuring the hottest baby lifestyle brands in a daylong event, it was the first gifting suite dedicated to kids during the Golden Globes.  The Boom Boom Room was founded by Jayneoni, a fashion insider, to give fashion lines and products access to celebrities and media.  Industry insiders and celebrities said that this was the best gifting suite of the season.  Jayneoni’s currently gearing up for the Hollywood Boom Boom Room Oscar Suite.  I can’t wait to see who will be there!

I had a chance to chat with some of the celebs and snap their photos.  As luck would have it my camera’s battery died but I had my new Motorola RAZR phone with me so I took some photos with my cameraphone (click the extended post to see my photos).

Some of the celebs I met were Kari Wuhrer, Boris Kodjoe and baby Sophie (his beautiful wife Nicole Ari Parker was there but I missed her), Dancing with the Star’s Tia Carrere, her husband Simon Wakelin and baby Bianca who unfortunately was fussy when I saw them, Harry Hamlin and his and Lisa Rinna’s daughters Amelia and Delilah, Corbin Bernsen and two of his sons, Holly Robinson-Peete and son Robinson who, when I saw him, was reeking havoc with a balloon display (too many cupcakes, Holly said), Soap Talk’s Ty Treadway, pregnant wife Monica and baby Samantha, hunky Roger Cross from 24, his sweet wife and their baby Kaniel, Tisha Campbell (who posed for a photo with Anya) and her son Xen, Tichina Arnold, the mom from Everyone Hates Chris and her daughter Alijah, Everyone Hates Chris’ Tyler James Williams (the kid who plays Chris), and Maria Lark who plays Patricia Arquette’s fiesty daughter Bridgette on Medium.

The highlight of the event for me was Shar Jackson and the gorgeous Kori.  I have to tell you that that child is even more beautiful and sweet in person.  She was wearing this cute little green skirt suit and was digging Fisher Price’s kid-sized Cadillac Escalade.  In these photos, Kori is sitting in a Combi stroller and wearing another vendor’s adorable rainboots and tiara.

Also there were: Madea’s Family Reunion’s Lisa Arrindell Anderson, General Hospital’s Maurice Bernard, Close to Home’s Kimberly Elise, the twins from Desperate Housewives- Shane and Brent Kinsman, Clean House’s Niecy Nash, Ray’s CJ Sanders, Mia St. John, Soul Food’s Vanessa and Malinda Williams and All of Us’s Terri Vaughn.

Each of the celebrity moms and kids who attended received gift bags worth over $11,000.  Some of the vendors who were there were big names like Fisher-Price, Mattel, RocaWear, Combi, and Build-a-Bear.  In addition, some of CBB’s advertisers like Diapees & Wipees, Crib Rock Couture, Little Showoffs, Mama & Bambino, Kiddie Kouture, Cute as Buttons, and Polka Dot Whale.

Also there were Auntie Barbara’s Kids, Serena & Lily, Baby Luscious (who will be doing a giveaway with us in a few weeks!), Simply Tiffany Taite,Toddler Treads, BryceWear, My First Shades, Jenerations Baby, Lipstik, Baby Legs, Moncalin, Silky Sak, Time Out Spots, Two Tinas, Rosy Cheeks & Kaiya Eve, Myself Belts, Knuckleheads, Ju Ju Be Bags, Glamajama, IKKS, Suzy Creamcheese, Jacob’s Ladder, Sugar pi, Hint and Hint Kids, and Little Lubbaloo.
