GROSS!!!!!! I am a young mom and I in no way modle myself after Britney Spears. I think she is the definition of white trash. I think she gives young moms a bad name.YUCK!!!!!

About the c-section thing:
Mine wasn’t planned, but evan if it was it is no picnic. Plus I heard she got an infection so that would be evan worse. I labored for 32 hours and still had a c-section. I would have much rather gone natural and had a shorter recovery than have gone through all the pain after sergery. Just removing the bandages was one of the most painful things I had ever gone through.

I think it is disgusting that anyone would think Britney is an inspiration for anything that is good (especially motherhood for crying out loud), and the part about her being an inspiration for those struggling with the “right” choice is downright laughable. Personally, I don’t think she has made a “right” choice about anything yet. I would be absolutely horrified if my daughter actually looked up to her as a roll model.

Looks nothing like her and if I was Britney I’d be creeped out that this artist is invisioning me naked, with a bear skin rug and birthing my child while on all fours…weird!

You know they just stuck her name on this for publicity. It isn’t remotely related to her, other than the fact that it’s a woman having a child. It may as well be Katie Holmes or your neighbour.

The idea of the sculpture is absolutely beautiful!! HOWEVER, i don’t see Britney Spears as the perfect role model for young mothers. And please forgive my cynicism and perhaps insults. BUT, i don’t think her birth was anticipated nor a planned blessing; she didn’t exactly take care of her baby while he was in her womb (drinking in the third trimester, junkfood, and starbucks); she had a planned c-section becuase her mother told her it’d be painful, (it’s suppose to be!! that’s the beauty of the memories); she (i’m sure) was dosed with mega drugs for the birth; there’s nothing but a majority of pictures with someone else holding her son, her husband does nothing but party, drink, gamble, smoke and can’t support his 2 OTHER kids…i could go on and on. I am not impressed by Britney Spears’ new role of motherhood and i DON’T find her motivating or inspiring. If you wanted to immortalize a young Hollywood mother how about Kate Hudson, Liv Tyler, Melissa Joan Hart, Soleil Moon Frye…shall I go on?? I think the artist wasted his time and was grossly mistaken in his perception of Britney Spears. Does she even care about the statue?? I wonder what her response was. If this is what young america finds inspiring we’re in deep trouble.

I don’t even want to look at the photo of the sculpture, but from the description it sounds less like Britney Spears and more like Ayla from Jean Auel’s books “Clan Of The Cavebear” or “Valley of The Horses” or “The Mammouth Hunters.”

Especially the part in “Valley of the Horses” where Jondalar dreamt of Ayla giving birth to a nation, or something.

To me it sounds like the sculptor/”artist” had attempted to make a statue of Ayla, but even Jean Auel didn’t want it either, so now he claims it’s “Britney Spears.” lol (oh brother!)

I agree. This is wrong on so many counts… it does not even remotely look like her; women don’t give birth in that position; there is no expression on her face; and she had a planned C-section because she was afraid to go through natural childbirth. I’m not certain where any bravery comes in to play. Certainly having a baby as a celebrity of any age is in style right now. And as for pro-life, I’m not sure driving with an infant on one’s lap or drinking gallons of caffeine while pregnant really qualify her for that.
