Dang, I bet Katie (OH, OOPS, I MEAN KATE) is glad she got with Tom! Lol. She wouldn’t of gotten anything if she were with Chris!

I highly doubt Tom and Katie were waiting by the phone for gifts, they can more then afford it and then some. And Katie while not near as rich as Tom was a millionaire and can afford to take care of her own child regardless of the father.
But having Cruise as a father certianly doesnt hurt.

Do you think celebs actually use the stuff they are gifted? For instance Ellen Degeneres gifted several celebs with the Silver Cross Pram. Gwyneth Paltrow was gifted with one when she was pregnant with Apple and I never saw photos of her using it. Britney was also given one and I don’t think she used it either. Maybe those are just show pieces for the home??? I just wondered if A-list celebs thought it might tarnish their image to use free stuff when they can afford to purchase anything they want.

What a lot of cute stuff! I’d love to see someone (hint hint Celebrity Baby Blog) challenge companies who give so much swag to celebrities to give an equal amount to charitable auctions/causes to benefit children who REALLY need the help. I understand giving to celebrities is marketing, not really “giving” but still, I’d like to see a bigger commitment to balancing swag with true giving.

ACTUALLY, we are planning to do something like that for the holidays this year. Last year I did an impromptu “adopt a family” thing but this year I’m going to try to get our sponsors donate products to an organization. I have to work out the details but it may be in exchange for advertising.

Great idea, Danielle and it’s also free press to have them donate to those in need. And the free advertising on here, certainly cant hurt.
And I dont know if most of these celebs use their stuff or maybe they also donate them to chairty? Or gave it to some pals who might also need it?
Cause Suri isnt only getting free gifts from companies but also lots from friends and family, that baby will want for nothing.

pinkorgangered, I wonder too if celebs use a lot of the baby stuff they are given? I know that many of the dresses, shoes, and purses that we see top celebs wearing are given to them in exchange for mentioning the label or brand they are wearing. I wonder if any of the baby swag they get works the same way? Hopefully what they don’t use they are giving to friends and charity.
By the way, I love the idea of trying to get companies to donate some of that baby swag to families in need! Very cool!
