It’s Official! Britney Spears confirms second pregnancy
It’s official: Britney Spears, 24, and Kevin Federline, 28, are expecting their second child together. Britney broke the news on a surprise appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman this afternoon. It will air tonight, but you can already watch the end of the interview, including the confirmation, here.
"Don’t worry Dave, it’s not yours!" Britney laughed. "Oh. Well, I think that’s good for the both of us," Dave responded. "So we’ve established now that you are in fact pregnant, is that right?" "Yes sir," replied Britney.
Us Weekly originally reported the pregnancy last month. According to their sources, Britney is about 20 weeks along, with the baby being due October 1st or 2nd.
The new baby will join son Sean Preston, 7 months, and half siblings Kaleb, 21 months, and Kori, 3 1/2, from Kevin’s previous relationship.
Britney Boards has exclusive photos of Britney and Sean out shopping in New York this morning, and then arriving for David Letterman this afternoon.

Proof that God has a wicked sense of humor.
I am not laughing.
How is it that fertility is wasted on the absurd and moronic?

Funny.
2 seconds ago I just emailed you guys this lol. Well congrats to her and kevin.

I knew it!! LOL!

Fertility is a funny thing….some people that shouldnt have or dont even want kids get to have all they want, while others like myself struggle for years with infertility issues and hope and pray that we can have just one child….not saying anything about Britney though, its just a generalized statement….

Joy.

According to EOnline.. “Spears is reportedly due in October, just a couple of weeks after Sean Preston’s first birthday….”

Courtney,
If you weren’t speaking in regards to Britney why post it here than? Britney and Kevin have as much right as you to have children. Because you have trouble concieving it doesn’t make Britney and Kevin any less deserving of having children. It is sad about your troubles concieving though. It is tough when you want something so bad.

Errm…it was only a response to the very first post in this thread, nothing more….

I wish them the best. The difference between one baby and two is HUGE. It’s so much work, but the blessing is worth every second.

OMG! I can’t believe it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Kevin Federline has some super sperm! Congrats to them…I hope they are happy (and not too sleep deprived)!!

I have suffered with repeated m/c and losses. I have to this date lost more pregnancies than I have carried to term. I have said it before and I will say it again, a child is a blessing. Britney and Kevin(or any other couple out there who have kids at the drop of the hat)have no bearing on my life. Their ability to have children easily doesnt affect my ability not to. I am very happy for them. I am not a fan of Brit of Kevin but I adore children. I hope everything goes smoothly for her.
Courtney, my name is Courtney too.:) Seems like we have more than a name in commen. I hope all is/has gone well for you in a quest to have a child. I know how heartbreaking it is to watch others when you want it so bad. ((HUGS))

I think that as soon as people hear Britney’s name they start to judge and belittle her. I have my children in the same about as time as Britney does that mean that I had them at the drop of a hat and don’t deserve or care about them? I am happy for Britney, a baby truly is a blessing and people should not be judged by how close together their children are.

I don’t think anyone is belittling her simply because her babies will be close in age. It’s not hard to take a quick recap over the last few months and see that Britney has made some terrible choices in regards to her parenting. Am I saying parents should be perfect? Of course not — but when a parent is caught driving with their INFANT on their lap, yeah, don’t be surprised when people raise some eyebrows and judge her parenting. I don’t care if someone is famous and worth 250 mil or is living paycheck to paycheck; when people see a parent made stupid choices, they’re going to toss in their two cents. =)

missa83au…
Just for the record, I wasn’t saying anything bad about having kids spaced close together. I myself had my oldest and then 18 months later had my second and then 13 months after that had my 3rd. So I too have mine very close in age. I get pg at the drop of the hat, but my kids dont always get to be born. What people don’t see is that i lost 2 pregnancies before my oldest and then lost twins when my oldest was 5 months old ( I was 12 weeks pg at the time). Then I lost another pregnancy just last month. I have to take progesterone to stay pregnant, im usually on bedrest almost the entire time and have other complications.
I wasnt in any way judging Britney. I have stated many times on thie board that I dont care how kids are spaced that they are ALL a blessing in my book.

Congrats to Britney. I just wish that she was having babies with someone worthy. Kevin has done nothing for her except bring her down.
May 9th, 2006 at 10:28 pm
Wow. I think it’s a little too fast and she’s just a little too young, but that’s not of any importance. She said that she wanted to be a young mom and she’s making it happen. Good for her!
May 9th, 2006 at 10:38 pm
Why does it matter how close in age her children are? Sure, she’s gonna have her hands full, but she’s gonna have double the fun and double the love, plus her kids will make excellent playmates!
I’m super excited for her and Kevin.
May 9th, 2006 at 10:40 pm
She sure cleans up well. She didn’t look so hot shopping with her baby in the first set of pics and later that afternoon she looked great & cute!!
May 9th, 2006 at 10:51 pm
yay! im so happy for her! thats great news. So Sean Preston is gonna be a big brother? That’s interesting..Sean gets cuter every time I see him..congratulations to Britney and Kevin!
May 9th, 2006 at 11:17 pm
I just watched it. I think she has a serious case of pregnancy brain.:P
I’m glad she finally admitted it. She was getting too big to deny it for much longer. Did you see her boobs?! I would never have dared to go anywhere in spaghetti straps and no bra when I was preggers, let alone national television.
Good luck to her. I hope she gets rid of Feder-jerk soon.

Congrats to Britney and Kevin! It’s so great that she is having another baby!!
May 10th, 2006 at 12:49 am
we all knew this was coming!!! I wish them the best of luck with the new addition. Even though people knock Britney and Kevin I sort of have an odd liking for Britney-she seems like a sweet-if somewhat ditzy-young girl-it’s Kevin I have an issue with. He just seems like a moochy skuz bag. lol. I wish them the best though. I hope she has a girl.
May 10th, 2006 at 5:19 am
congrats to brit & kevin. this is great news for sean, i think, i would have loved to have a brother or sister so close in age!
May 10th, 2006 at 5:46 am
I remember a lot of talk about how hard she found the first pregnancy (morning sickness etc.) I hope this one is easier on her (although the amount she has been out and about lately leads me to believe she is coping a lot better.) I know I certainly learnt a lot with my first pregnancy and avoided eating/drinking/doing a lot of things that I knew would make me feel ill second time around.
May 10th, 2006 at 8:48 am
I’m excited for her, and congrats to her. All children are blessings. I hope she has a wonderful pregnancy. Sean Preston will have a good playmate
May 10th, 2006 at 9:16 am
i think britney looked a little Pam Anderson when arriving for the David Letterman show. It is nice to see her clean up. I know I dont clean up everytime I leave the house but I dont have paprazzi following me around. I am sure you would just feel hey its me but seems they like to post and print those crappy looking photos the most, that would be hard.
May 10th, 2006 at 12:12 pm
Atleast now we can say with 100% certainty that her career is over.
We’ll have a few years peace until her parents start pimping out Jamie-Lynn.
I just can’t contain my excitement, really.
May 10th, 2006 at 2:38 pm
Now I can officially say CONGRATS!!! I am happy for her and Kevin and maybe this baby will be smoother sailing and she will sink into motherhood a little better. I am hoping at least. I would love to see people saying, “yay Britney” for once, instead of “Brit shouldn’t reproduce again!” Every baby is a blessing, especially if he or she is wanted and loved. Good luck Brit!

Well I think it’s great. I’ll never understand why it get’s up people’s asses so bad that she’s having children. IT DOESN’T AFFECT YOU! But I wouldn’t tell you not to say that it bothers you…it doesn’t matter to me! In all honesty, I think she’s a media-whore. I think they all are to an extent. I don’t like her music, so I won’t buy it and I think her husband is disgusting, in so many ways. But EVERYONE is entitled to have children and as far as parents go, watch the news, these kids could do so much worse. I wouldn’t doubt her love for these children, because children are so easy to love. I look at her son and can’t imagine they would intentionally put him in any danger or not give him enough love.
And for the record, if all the things that happened to me before the age of one year had been reported you’d all forgive Britney. I had good parents, but a particularly sadistic four-year-old brother! (Though he and I both turned out allright, haha!)
