David and Victoria Beckham want a baby girl!
English football star David Beckham and former Spice Girl wife Victoria Beckham want a baby girl – and they are apparently having sex standing up to get one!
A source close to the couple has told magazine Grazia: "David is really keen for Victoria to have another baby. But he wants a girl. And when David wants something, he gets pretty obsessed." David has been researching ways to dictate the sex of their next baby: "He’s found out through talking to people that you have more chance of conceiving a girl if you do things like have sex standing up on certain days of the month. He’s even checked out this website that claims to guarantee a couple having a baby girl, and there’s a book called Determining The Sex Of Your Baby, which is all about whether you can plan to have a boy or a girl."
Victoria is said to have chosen the name Luna for their much anticipated daughter.
Editor’s note: For those of you trying for either a girl or boy, there is no scientific basis in the rumor that specific positions determine the gender.

After three boys, I could see why they’d want a girl…lol…but still does that “technique” even work?

I forgot which book my parents read but whichever one it was it said to hold off on sex for awhile and then have sex on the 14th day (which is the exact day of ovulation) and it was supposed to give you more of a chance to have a boy. They had a boy! My sister and I were unplanned!

I watched on TLC that the Y sperm get to the egg before the X ones do. So if you want a boy have sex the day you ovulate. If you want a girl have sex a day or two before you ovulate because by the time you do ovulate all the boy making sperm as died and all your left with is girls.

I love Victoria & David =) I hope they have a little girl… their boys are so gorgeous so I can only image how beautiful a girl would be! =)

I think people are supposed to have what GOD intends you to have. If your not meant to have a girl you won’t.

That’s strange. With all their money, why don’t they get Microsort if they’re that anxious to have a girl?

Angela, that’s what I was wondering as well!

Joy, I think it’s really rude to bring up religion. You need to remember not everyone is a christian. There is a place and a time to say things about it and it’s not here.

Maybe they don’t know about Microsort? (BTW what is Microsort? When I first saw the word, I’d thought you’d meant Microsoft! lol!)
Probably with their past ease with getting pregnant in general (albeit with only boys thus far) they don’t know about the fertility options technology/science must provide for today’s parents.
I could imagine why they’d want a biological daughter (a female mini Posh-Becks would be adorible indeed) however if they really want to be guarenteed a girl they could always adopt like so many other celebs.

HAHAHA @ Scarlett……honey I am the least religious person you’ll find on this board! I haven no religion…I don’t nor have I ever attended church in my adulthood and question GOD continuously. But I am a believer that babies are gifts and that IMO shouldn’t mess with what your intended to have. I certainly wouldn’t go to the extreme to get a sex over the other. I’d be happy with what I’m supposed to have. If it’s all boys so be it. If it’s all girls then so be it. That’s my opinion. Certainly others feel indifferent. Maybe the Beckhamns are not meant to have a little girl. Shouldn’t they be happy for having 3 HEAKTHY little boys….for many in this world can’t have kids and there are even one’s who don’t have healthy children. So it’s called being thankful for what you get.

^ I meant HEALTHY not heakthy lol.
and I didn’t mean to offend anyone. That’s just my opinion and certainly on a messageboard I am highly entitled to it.

I just wanted to remind everyone that this is NOT in fact a message board, but a blog that allows comments related to the post. (As stated by Danielle)…………
I hope that she does indeed get her little girl someday but if she doesn’t I’m sure she will be just as happy with her beautiful boys!

messageboard blog does it matter it’s still allowing us to state our opinions on the subject matter.
May 11th, 2006 at 10:11 pm
In my opinion the comments on this message board ARE related to the article. The Beckham’s have expressed a desire for a girl, and while they may not be trying anything beyond positions or things that we as humans can manipulate, this topic is a controversial one.
Some people believe that “trying” for a particular sex is wrong and should be left up to fate, God, nature, chance, or whatever (depending on your belief). I think that’s all that Joy was trying to say. Besides, if Danielle or anyone else at CBB has any issue with our comments, they’ll let us know or delete them.

Woops. I said “message board”, I should have said “comment board”…8)

Wow guys! I never said anyone’s comment was out of line or anything! And I never mentioned Joy’s comment either……
Like you said gargoylegurl, this is a controversial issue and I wanted to send a quick reminder BEFORE tempers flared and feelings were hurt. Sorry you took it as an attack!
May 12th, 2006 at 12:15 pm
I didn’t take offense to anyone’s comment. I stated what I stated based on what I read above. Thank you gargoylegurl that’s exactly what I was trying to explain. I would of loved to of not have used the “god” word but most people do have that belief in him so I chose it. Anyways that not being the point I wasn’t here to comment to offend anyone and I apologize if I did. But I stated it based on my own opinion. I just believe children are a gift and you should except what comes naturally.

I didn’t take offense either. I was just pointing out that I felt like I understood where Joy was coming from on this issue. Sorry if I sounded snippy Maria…8)
Okay, I had better not place any more comments on here or I really will get in trouble from CBB, and I would hate to have that happen because I really enjoy coming here to read the articles and comments!
Peace out!
