according to paul’s website, this is not true: http://www.paulmccartney.com/main.php

I wondered if that was true, although you never know. I remember reading in a magazine or somewhere that Beatrice was staying with Paul after the breakup, so who knows who’s correct?
Anyway happy 64th birthday Paul! (I bet you never imagined you’d be caring for a 3yr old daughter @ 64, when you wrote the song 40 yrs ago…)

What Mother in their right mind, would let the father have FULL custody when the father is 64?
I won’t even let my daughter stay with my Grandparents (who are the same age as Paul) for a day she’s such a handful!
The rumor was that Paul wanted Beatrice to live with him, if Heather doesn’t fight like hell to prevent that she’s insane.

I, for one, hope he fights for her or at least one of his kids does. Paul’s already pretty much been a single dad since she was born.
And that’s all I’m gonna say! =P If I say more I’ll be in trouble. LOL

That’s a pretty agist comment above….what’s wrong with a father who is 64? Unless one is disabled in some major way, 64 is not old! I’ve left my son for several days with his grandmother who is 75! And since he’s raised 4 kids already, he’s probably more “qualified” as a parent. He certainly has financial resources to get help if he needed it.

I agree with brave, senior citizens can care for little kids if they have the energy and financial resources.
Also how old are you Stacey, if your grandparents are 64?
In my case, my parents are 59 so they’re not that far from Paul’s age, and at 30 I’m the oldest of their children.

I’m 23.
And Brave, after the divorce settlement I’m sure she’ll have the financial resources too. LOL

I can’t think of any reason why they shouldn’t share custody. Paul seems very fit and healthy for his age. Besides, 64 is not that old! If he was wheelchair bound and frail, I might have some concerns, but they both seem like very capable parents. I hope they can work things out for the sake of Bea.
