Happy to Me
Today is my 31st so I’m going to take it easy and take a day off. I think I might paint some pottery and mosey around the Upper West Side. Don’t worry, Sarah’s minding the store! Of course, as usual we have our regular contributors who are so great and really make the site what it is today: Shannon, Christina, Nisha, Kirrily, Kristin, Julie, Char, and Ashleigh.
I have had a banner year and therefore have so much to celebrate this year. The best part of course is Anya, who is the light of my life. 8 months after her birth and I still look at my husband and ask, "Can you believe we MADE her?" Not every day is easy but every day is a blessing.
And how could I not thank you, our wonderful readers. Over 50,000 of you now read the site on a daily basis. How amazing is that? It blows my mind to think that around 2 years ago, I was just chugging along on my own, running the site as a hobby, never thinking it could possibly turn into what it has today. As long as you keep reading, I won’t have to go back to working for someone else (for this site is now my full-time job) and what a gift that is! We’ve received fabulous recognition as well. We’ve been in national magazines, local newspapers, television and just Thursday I was recognized on the street by a reader who asked, "Are you that Celebrity Baby lady?"

This year’s cake starred Wentworth Miller from Prison Break. As Caletha Crawford, editor-in-chief of Earnshaw’s magazine told me, "[with Wentworth,] you don’t even need the cake!"

Happy Birthday, Danielle! I hope you have a fantastic day. I can’t believe how big Anya is getting, she is gorgeous! As for the Wentworth cake – yummity yum yum! GREAT choice.

Happy Birthday Danielle! I think it’s amazing that you’re able to keep the site running, I’ve tried running sites in the past and it’s tough! I also think it’s awesome that you are able to stay home because of CBB, that must be a blessing for you… Anya is beautiful! I think it’s so neat when I flip the channels and see you on Fabulous Life of, since we’ve all been coming to the site for so long and feel like we know you… I’m glad the site is such a success! Thanks so much for all of your hard work.

Happy Birthday!!
Anya is so gorgeous, and I love the pic of her toussled hair!
Personally, I love birthdays (mine most of all), because they’re the only day of the year that’s all about you. And isn’t that just fabulous? I’m not saying this in a selfish way, I just thoroughly enjoy every waking minute of my birthday.
This may sound uncommonly silly, but is there money involved in running a site like this? I thought it was just a hobby, something you did for fun. But I suppose, when you say you can now stay home and not work, that you can earn money from running CBB? I have to say that’s pretty cool.

But happy birthday to you! Oh, and Anya just gets cuter with each photo of her that’s posted. I almost want to envy you, having so much sucess with a hobby-turned-job that you now can stay home and spend even more time with your daughter. That’s a sweet deal!
I hope something like that can happen for me sometime in the near future. ^_^

fumar, I could be wrong, but I would think that there’s money to made from the advertising on CBB? I’m not sure. That’s just my guess.

Happy Birthday.
I’ve been reading this site for over a year now. I just wanted to say Happy Birthday and tell you that our daughters are one day apart (Isabella was born on the 15th) and both 8 pounds at birth. I also turned 31 on June 1st! I love reading Anya’s updates. She has way more hair than Bella, but they seem to have a lot of the same milestones and have a lot of the same goodies. Keep up the great work (this is one of my fave sites since becoming pregnant and having a baby).
