SHeDAISY sister welcomes twin girls
One of SHeDAISY’s singing sisters, Kelsi Osborn, is a first time mom today. She and husband Steve Hooper welcomed twin girls earlier in the day on Wednesday in a Nashville area hospital. Savannah Marie and Adyson Amilia are doing well and resting comfortably with mom. No word on if the girls are identical or fraternal, or on lengths or weights. What we do know, however, is that the girls were four weeks early – Kelsi wasn’t due until August 16th.

Does anyone know how the Adyson’s middle name is pronounced. Is it pronounced just like Amelia?

I think it is pronounced AM – IL -LEE – A
which i think is a lovely pronunciation but the spelling does look a little strange.

Awww, congrats to Kelsi, Steve, and the other two SheDaisy sisters. Twins are such great blessing.
I hate to be negative, but…Adyson? Not only is Addison primarily a boys name, but spelling it with a Y is so very tryndee. :-/

Candice, I agree. You should join us at
BigBadBabyNames.com. We aren’t fans of Adyson for girls over there either : D

I don’t mind the name so much, but I don’t like the spelling. I’m just glad it’s a name that I can pronounce. It seems that lately when celebrities announce the name of their baby I have to google it just to figure out how to pronounce it. I’ve actually had to do that with several of my friends as well. I get the birth announcement in the mail and have to go straight to the computer and look the name up to figure out how to say it.

I am so happy for Kelsi. She will make a wonderful mother. As for the names, I love them both. And Candice, she probably added the Y in Adyson, as it’s a family thing. Her sisters name is Kristyn Robyn.

I like both names. Savannah is highly popular though. Addyson is cute. She’ll probably get Addy for short but it sounds too close to Madison which is EXTREMELY popular!

Aww. That’s so great! I really like both the names – They’re very cute, and I’m a fan of the girls’ music.

Congrats to Kelsi and Steve! I like both names they chose. Marie is Kelsi’s middle name, by the way.
(Also, just to nitpick…Her husband Steve’s last name isn’t Hooper. It’s Simpson.)

I always thought Addison was a girl name.

I think that in the case of twins – or for that matter any mulitiple births – it is nice if the names chosen are really compatible; that they sound good together. I like the sound of Julia Roberts’ Twins Phinnaeus and Hazel (Phinnaeus shortned to ‘Phinn’ sounds even better with Hazel! – although an unusual choice of names anyhow.
Savannah and Adyson do go well together – both modern and unusual, but I am still not keen! Huge Congratulations to Kelsi – and the best of luck

I am really happy for Kelsi.I think that she will be a really good mother.Savannah is one of my favorite baby names.I love the name Addyson. But I like the Addison spelling better.I wish her the best of luck with the twins and wish her all the happiness in the world.

I have to point out as a twin that I am very glad she didn’t pick out matching names! It’s cute when you’re younger, but it’s hard enough establishing your own identity as a twin when you’re older.
I like both the names. Having twin girls is a handful though – ask my mother about the teenage years with us!

BTW, my sister and I were born about 3 weeks early, so I believe it is fairly common with twins.
