Double baby joy for British Olympic rower Sir Matthew Pinsent
by British correspondent Joanna:
On Monday 26 June at 10am, four-time Olympic gold medal winning rower Matthew Pinsent and his wife Demetra (Dee) welcomed twin baby boys, the first children for the couple. The boys have been named Jonah and Lucas, and are both "thriving," although Dee has had to undertake an extended period of recovery since the birth. Whilst no further details have been released, Dee is said to be making speedy progress and has now been reunited with Jonah and Lucas.
Matthew should also now have plenty of time to spend with his new sons, as he has retired from rowing and is instead covering sports for the BBC.
