Liza Huber expecting first child – Susan Lucci to be a grandma
Update: Liza has announced that she’s expecting a son.
Originally posted June 14th: Actress Liza Huber, who plays Gwen on Passions, announced on her messageboard Tuesday that she and husband Alexander George Hesterberg III are expecting their first child on New Years Eve. This will make her mother, soap star Susan Lucci, a first time grandmother.
In an interview with TV Guide, Liza says, "Oh my gosh, we are just over the moon…The baby’s due date is December 31! It’s really the end of December or very early January, but you know how they like to give you just one date. It wound up being New Year’s Eve. So it’s going to be a very busy, very exciting holiday season." Of her mom’s impending grandma status, Liza says, "She’s gonna give new meaning to the word grandmother…She certainly doesn’t look like a grandmother! This is the first grandchild for both my parents and my husband’s parents, so everyone is beside themselves with joy."

Susan Lucci has preserved herself well. She looks marvelous for her age. Her daughter is very cute too.

Wow, congrats to them! I hope all goes well with the pregnancy and so forth.
Hey I just thought of something, if Liza has a baby girl, maybe she can name her Emmy, so then her mother Susan Lucci can finally have another Emmy! LOL!

I wonder if their son will be Alex the fourth. lol. I don’t know if that would be a good thing or not since i like the name Alexander.

That’s cool, since Susan’s character Erica Kane on All My Children just became a grandmother too. She definitely does not look like a grandma!

Susan was talking about how excited she is, about becoming a grandma on the view. She also said it is amazing seeing her daughter pregnant, and the whole family is thrilled.

Does anyone know if she will continue on Passions? I’m happy for her, I know her the two families have to be excited.

I am so excited for her!! I am a diehard passions fan and as much stuff as her character Gwen has went through I’m glad to see her REALLY have a baby. I just hope they REALLY make her pregnant again on the show and REALLY have a baby so that she will give Theresa her kids back! CONGRATS LIZA

Congrats to Liza and George. I’m not a big fan of “Gwen” but I’ve met Liza and she is so sweet. Hopefully the rest of her pregnancy goes well.
Make that baby boy # 5 for Passions within the past year: Eric Martsolf has twin boys, McKenzie Westmore has a son, Galen Gering is expecting his son in August and now Gwen’s son. I think Lindsay Hartley has the only little daughter on the show (as far as I know).

I love gwen,she is the onlt charcater I like on the show.I’m excited for liza,i hope they write the pregnancy in the show to get back at theresaj/k.But susan lucci will be a good looking grandma.

Congrats to Liza and her husband! I am sure Susan is thrilled to finally be a grandma.
To add to Loralie’s post, this will be the 7th baby boy for a Passions actor since July 2004. James Hyde welcomed a son in July 2004 and Rodney Van Johnson welcomed a son in early 2005.
