Janet Jackson wants baby without baby weight…?

Tags: Rumors

According to In Touch magazine, an insider says that Pop diva Janet Jackson is eager to start a family with her fiance, super producer Jermaine Dupree. However, after losing more than 70 pounds, Janet does not want to deal with pregnancy weight gain, and is said to be considering adoption.

"Janet doesn’t need to give birth," the insider said. "She would be just as happy adopting."

The singer, who is rumored to be planning to wed Jermaine by the end of the year, recently turned 40, and is reportedly hearing the loud ticking of her biological clock. The insider added that Janet is the perfect person to give a needy child a loving home.

"Janet would make such a great mom," the pal says.

If she wants to give a needy child a loving home, great. But to imply that she is adopting because she does not want to gain weight during pregnancy makes her look like and idiot. JMO another child in the Jackson family is a scary thought for me.

I don’t believe Janet would say that. She’s lost and gained weight many times. It may be that she IS considering adoption, but I doubt weight gain is a factor. I think she’d make a great mom. She seems like a loving, loyal person. She is a very private person for a celebrity. In 20 years of super star status, the only scandal she’s ever had is that she showed her boob on tv.

  3. madison Says:

It’s In touch magazine…..take that news bit with a grain of salt. She’s never had a problem dropping weight in the past, in fact she’s quite the expert at it. I don’t believe it at all.

  4. PP's Mama Says:

Adoption is a wonderful thing when it’s done for the right reasons. But to adopt to avoid weight gain is vain and moronic. I just can’t believe she would say something so idiotic. It has to be a quote from a “source” who probably doesn’t even KNOW her. Who would say something like that???

  5. Sara Says:

I think she’d be a great mom, as long as she keeps her children away from her brother.

  6. Raquel Says:

Spindoctor I agree with you. I don’t think she would adopt because of weight, because plenty of times in the past she has lost weight. I did hear her say a few yrs ago because of her childhood and family stuff, she wasn’t sure if motherhood would be in her future. But it would be nice to see her being a mom, she seems like a nice caring person. I would love to see Janet, Halle Berry, and Salma Hayek have children in the future. Halle and Salma have said they would love a child, and they both look like they would be good moms too.

  7. Victoria Says:

If she really said something like that, she needs to mosey on over to http://shapeofamother.blogspot.com/

But I have a feeling something she said was misinterpreted. Like the interviewer probably probably discussed both subjects, and Janet’s response was taken out of context. I don’t think she’d say something like that.

  8. lisa maxwell Says:

If anyone remembers joan crawford-she adopted for those very reasons…not wanting to lose her figure.Remember “mommy dearest”how could one forget?

  9. Stacey Says:

Yeah if she does, keep the kid away from Chester Molester Uncle Michael.

  10. Bethie Says:

Janet and Jermaine were recently interviewed on a red carpet (ESPYS?) and Jermaine said that they were getting married in Sept. No word on a baby though. Janet may just be worried about having a baby at an older age and having to lose the weight. That can be a lot harder.

  11. Alisa Says:

I’m glad JD makes her so happy.:) I always wanted to see pic of her with is little girl.

  12. Karen Says:

Victoria, thanks for posting that link…what an INSPIRATIONAL website–LOVE IT!!

  13. Raquel Says:

Joan Crawford adopted kids, but I don’t think it was because of weight. From her biography and stuff I read even on IMDB, she suffered a lot of miscarriages around 8 or 9. She was not a good mother though, very sad story.

  14. Cherie Says:

Janet had a baby in the mid-80s right as her career was about to blossom. Rebbie adopted the baby girl and has raised her since.

  15. karlee Says:

janet has a daughter when did this happen, and where was I?

  16. joy Says:

haha this story is so fabricated. I am a huge janet fan and Janet was recently asked about kids and said she’d love to be a mom and if it happens great, and if it doesn’t that’s fine too!! She’s focusing on her album at this point and not on marriage or kids!!

And Janet never had a baby that’s one of the biggest rumors to ever exist and she has disputed it again and again.

  17. marge Says:

Good Luck Janet..I think you would be a good Mother..God knows you have the means to support him or her or both… : ) And if you do have a weit problem OH YES you will gain weight…And it does not go away fast..and when you are older you take a chance of having a DS baby, so adopt….

  18. joy Says:

as it may be true the older you are the risk are higher but JD is also much younger then Janet. And many women give birth in their 40’s and have healthy babies. I don’t think the thought of a DS child or another disabled child should shy you away from wanting a kid in your 40’s. My mom’s friend was told her kid had DS and she opted to still have the baby even though she was 48 and her hubby was 60! Their baby turned out not to have DS afterall! So even doctors can’t always predict the outcome of your childs health!
