"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Model Moms in ‘Vogue’

The August issue of US Vogue features mom-to-be Linda Evangelista on the cover and interviews with fellow supermodels Christy Turlington, Carolyn Murphy, Stella Tennant, and more.  They discuss many topics, including plastic surgery, their careers, and how having children has changed their lives.

Christy has two young kids, Grace, 2 1/2, and Finn, 5 months, with her husband actor/director Ed Burns and recently was coaxed out of retirement from modeling to appear in Versace’s fall ad campaign (along with other models moms including Cindy Crawford).

Linda’s baby is due in October, and she says that she is loving her pregnancy body.

”I’m not freaked out at all, I embrace it.  I believe I’m doing everything to go through this as smoothly as possible. I’m either doing yoga or exercising every day.”

Other highlights include:

-Model Angela Lindvall breastfeeding her 14 month old son Sebastian.

- Carolyn Murphy, 30, talks about working right after giving birth to her daughter Dylan, now 5 1/2:

"When I was pregnant, I gained 60 pounds… I’d just had Dylan when my first test shots for Estée Lauder came up. I had leaky breasts and saggy skin. But Aerin Lauder was already a mother—thank God!—and understood."

- Stella Tennant, whose 15-year career has included shoots for Burberry and Louis Vuitton, shares the challenges of being a working mom with four kids:

"It never occurred to me I’d be modeling at 35. I thought I was shooting myself in the foot when I had my first child.  Actually, I feel much more comfortable with myself than I ever have. My body has been very kind to me. I’ve had four healthy babies, so I’m not about to criticize it! As a matter of fact, I didn’t notice any change in me, although my ribs are bigger since I had my last one. Karl Lagerfeld, who can detect a pregnancy before any gynecologist, told me that! At Chanel, they know my body better than I do."

Lovely photo. The boy looks so sweet.

I breastfed until my son was 22 months and he stopped sitting still (like in the photo) at about 12 months! It was more like acrobatic breastfeeding!

  2. stunned Says:

“Linda’s first living child is due in October…”

Umm, that’s really a sick way to phrase that, don’t you think? Why not just, “Linda is due in October”? Is it really is necessary to bring up her tragic loss at every mention of her name?

  3. Lorus Says:

That is such a sweet photo. I love seeing older children breastfeeding still. I wish I had taken a picture of my daughter nursing when she was older.

  4. erikaka Says:

what a gorgeous picture of Angela Lindvall!!! i love it. like a lot of those people said, i too feel so much better about my body now that i’ve had a baby.

  5. nicksmomma Says:

I agree with erikaka–I too feel so much better about my body since having my son. Before, it was all about what size you are and comparing yourself to everyone else, but since having a baby, it’s just like my body got these curves and the way it is because of my son. I love it–I embrace it. I love to see other acresses (especially Kate Winslet) saying that they just have that type of body and since having children accept their bodies and love them for what they are–womanly.
