"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Heidi Klum wants lots of children

Tags: News

Model Heidi Klum, 33, who is currently expecting her third child, talked to Life magazine about her life as a mother. Heidi has daughter Leni, 2 1/2 with ex-partner Flavio Briatore and son Henry, 11 months with husband Seal, 43. Here are some excerpts from the interview:

LIFE: Among the many things you are doing is having babies. You’ve been averaging one child a year for the past three years. So, are you just trying to get it out of the way as quickly as possible?
- [Laughs] It sounds horrible, “getting it done,” but, in a way, yes. My brother [Michael, a bus driver in Klum’s hometown, Bergisch Gladbach] and I are 10 years apart, so I never really grew up with siblings. I think it’s beautiful for children to grow up together, because they’ll have each other. [Seal and I] both want that for them. I also feel like you live now, so what are you going to do—work, work, work, and not have a family around you? For me, that is very important. We want to have a lot of children.

LIFE: Is it hard to keep a newlywed vibe and be parents?
-
Seal always says “You are my number one” and that the children come after me. /–/The parents have to be number ones to each other in order to give the [proper] love to their children. . . . He [Seal] always says that he finds me the most beautiful when I’m pregnant.

LIFE: How do you feel about the coverage you’ve received as a mixed-race family?
- In Germany—and this started with a newspaper headline—they call us “the Patchwork Family.” I was, like, Hmm, is this an insult or is this positive? I talked to Seal about it, and we’re, like, it’s actually kind of great—we’re all different shades and we came together and we all love each other. They may call it black and white, but I’m not white, I’m a shade of brown and so is our daughter, Leni. She’s the lightest, then it’s me, then it’s our son, and then it’s Seal. So I think, Hey, it’s actually kind of nice to have a ‘patchwork family.’

LIFE: During each Project Runway, you say to the contestants “In fashion, one day you’re in, the next you’re out.” If the time ever comes when you’re “out,” what will you do?
- I’ll just say “Auf Wiedersehen” and jump in the pool with my kids.
