Angela Schijf and Tom Van Landuyt welcome a daughter
Dutch actress Angela Schijf, 27, and Belgian actor Tom Van Landuyt, 39, welcomed their second daughter this weekend. The newborn baby was named Mensje Frédérique – ‘Mensje’ means ‘little person’ in Dutch and Frédérique is in honor of Schijf’s friend Frédérique Huydts who died of cancer in April this year. Schijf and Landuyt also have daughter Bloem – meaning ‘flower’ in Dutch – who turned 2 in July.

Actually, Mensje would have 2 meanings: 1. literally, Mensje means ‘little human’ instead of ‘little person’, since Mens = Human in Dutch. 2. Mensje comes from Meine (German) meaning “strength, power”. Just so you know..:)
Personally, i think it’s awfull, i was hoping for a Lente/Lenthe (Spring), Sterre (star) or something simular.
