The ultimate in mom’s jewelry

For the ultimate in mom’s jewelry, you have to check out Tali Gillette’s "mama" necklaces. Inspired by her son’s milestones and wanting to wear the memory of his first words, the jewelry designer/mom created the Mama Collection of jewelry.  She says, "Having a child introduces you to depths of love you never knew possible.  And while often exhausting, there is no job more thrilling or satisfying than raising that little bundle."

The piece de resistance is her 18k white gold diamond-encrusted circle necklace ($2,395).  It’s owned by numerous A-list celebrity moms Gwyneth Paltrow (pictured left wearing hers at the Live 8 concert), Jennifer Garner (gifted by Alias co-star Kevin Wiseman), Sarah Jessica Parker, Courteney Cox-Arquette, Kate Hudson and Denise Richards.  When Maggie Gyllenhaal received hers, she showed it to her mom and said, "Look, my first mommy necklace.  I can’t wait to wear it!"

Tali also offers more affordable pieces like non-diamond versions- white gold ($395), and yellow or rose gold (starting at $525), as well as a vertical "bar" design.  (Mariska Hargitay’s friend bought her the large yellow gold version.)  She also created a ring, bracelet and hoop earrings.  All are extremely sweet and represent what we hope will be baby’s first word! 

Because dads are equally special, Tali has special "dada" items for them!  Dadas can pick from a 14k white gold bar pendant, sterling silver key chain and cufflinks.
