Brooke Shields and Katie Holmes were spotted chatting this weekend at a private party in Los Angeles. Katie admired Grier, 6 months, born the same day as her own daughter Suri, and the conversation continued.
Perhaps they discussed Katie’s upcoming November 18th nupitals?

I wonder if Katie regrets or misses that she doesn’t or can’t have Suri in public…maybe she was admiring Grier out of jealousy…it’d be nice to see her with her little one.

Seeing the two of them together only highlights how bizarre the Katie situation is. Brooke is out everywhere, doing things with her baby – and Katie has never been seen with her ONCE!
What is going on? I understand the need for privacy, but not at the cost of a normal upbringing for Suri. Tom & Katie are creating the circus they live in. If they just went about their business, people would get bored and move on. Do they want people to thing something is fishy about this? Are that THAT desperate to be talked about?

That’s nice that Brooke and Katie seem friendly. Brooke was very sweet last month on Leno and said, Tom apologized and she accepted because he really did seem sorry. Brooke has always seemed like a nice woman IMO. Those pictures are cute, especially the only where Brooke has Grier up in the air more, and Katie is smiling at the baby. It sure was a concidence both Grier and Suri were born on the same day. Maybe when Tom and Katie marry, wedding photos with Suri will be shown.

So when will we see Suri out and about? They really need to let that girl see some people. I really don’t think it is natural to keep her locked up like that. I just find it odd that Katie wouldn’t want to bring her daughter anywhere with her.

I have to say, I felt a twinge of sadness when I looked at these pictures. Two mommies had their babies on the same day. One baby was out with her Mommy, the other was not.

How sweet that Katie and Brooke are seen together. They seem like they are good friends. But its quite that we have seen little Grier so much but we have yet to see Suri in public. I really feel bad for Katie looking at these pics.

I agree with the poster that said that “Tom & Katie are creating the circus they live in”. Maybe if they tried to live more normally, the press and people in general would treat them more so. Brooke looks great in jeans — more casual and fun with her baby while Katie is all ‘Hollywood’ in black head to toe without baby. I agree that it is sad.

Aine: Looking at the additional pictures on x17 it does appear that it’s Katie Holmes. I am wondering too, why isn’t Suri ever with Katie? I think Tom Cruise has something to do with this.

I too understand the need for privacy but it leads me to wonder why have a huge photoshoot with your child and yet still never have her out and about. I know the paparazzi can be overbearing so I do understsand but we have never once in 6 months have caught a glimpse of the baby out with anyone. I think Grier and Suri would be great playmates. I still find something shady about it all but oh well.

Poor Suri is going to be an outrageous rebellious teen because she never got to leave the house as a little child!!!
