Kevin Federline says his four children get along great
Kevin Federline, husband to popstar Britney Spears, and a rapper whose first album comes out today, says he is happy with the way his life has turned out including having four children at 28.
"I knew for sure that I’d have one or two children by now," he told USA Today. "I didn’t think I’d have four children, but I love being a young dad with a big family."
Kevin’s four children include his 4-year-old daughter Kori, and three sons, 2-year-old Kaleb, 1-year-old Sean Preston and 1 1/2 month-old Jayden James. Kevin’s oldest two kids are by his ex-girlfriend, Moesha actress Shar Jackson.
"I’m not going to say that I planned on falling in love with my wife when my ex-girlfriend was pregnant," Kevin says.
Despite the situation in which Kevin left Shar and became involved with Britney, Kevin insists that his children are involved in each other’s lives and get along great.
He says Sean Preston "gets real excited when Kori and Kaleb come over," and Jayden "picks up things a lot quicker than the others, because he has the benefit of learning from the older kids." Sean has also quickly taken to his new baby brother Jayden and "is starting to take on the big brother role, and he’s getting very protective. (He) wants to be around the baby all the time."
Kevin says that in the future he and Britney may move their kids away from Hollywood and the paparazzi, and allow them to grow up outside of show business and the Hollywood spotlight.
"Even though my wife did it, and it turned out okay for her" he says. "And if that means I take my family out of L.A. to grow up on a farm, then that’s what I’ve got to do."
As for Jayden’s public world premiere, Kevin says he’ll leave that up to Britney.
"But if my wife wants to have that baby all to herself for now, then she keeps it, because there’s not much she has to herself," he says, "not even her own children."
Kevin says Britney has been busy being a mother and working on her return to the stage.
He says she’s "recording three or four times a week, and she still manages to be with the kids a lot. She spoils them; I’m the enforcer."

i highly doubt that jayden is “picking up” anything besides how to get milk out of a bottle! he’s only one and a half months old!

I don’t think they care what people think of them, they love their family. They are easy targets to pick on, but the media tends to show what they want, I feel bad for them and feel that Britney never really got completely socialized properly and Kevin seems like a jerk but from what I’ve heard, he’s not, that other people in the public eye are surprised at how nice he is. I say leave them alone.

I still find it strange that Britney hasn’t shown her baby in public yet, but everyone believes she actually had a baby. There are no conspiracy theories like there were with Suri.

BTW today he confimed the baby’s name to Ryan Seacrest on Kiss FM.

Amy- I believe the conspiracy theories for TomKat’s offspring were born of the long-lived rumor that Tom could not have children. We all know that Kevin’s boys can swim!

Amy – Kev and Britney’s whole relationship seems based on sex, so it’s not unbelievable to people that she’s had his baby..again. Tom Cruise has long been rumored to be gay and Katie claimed to be a virgin up until the thrid week of dating Tom (when she got pg), which is why their union/offspring is more suspicious to the public.
That said, what can a six week old baby “pick up” quicker than others? All they do is eat, poop, sleep and sometimes smile. Has Kevin even met Jayden or is he just making stuff up?

It’s my opinion that she’s probably waiting to show off the new baby in a People Magazine spread, much like she did with Sean. But I’ve also wondered if she is going to lay lower with this child because of all the HARSH criticism she has endured with Sean. As Kevin said in this article, they might try to take the kids out of the spotlight to give them a more “normal” upbringing.

Am I the only one struck odd by the fact that he never, in any interview, called Britney by her name? He always says “my wife” but never calls her Britney.

Aleah — I agree, I found that strange as well. I always call my boyfriend by his name, Jason, or moreso Jas. I don’t say “my boyfriend this, my boyfriend that.” You’d think he’d refer to her as Brit. Something more personal than “my wife.” Anyhow, hope all the kids are well, as well as Britney.
