Congratulations to them! She is so gorgeous. I never watched Ed while it was running, but I have been watching reruns and I love them. She seems to have a real sense of humour about pregnancy, which is great. Personally, when I have children, I think I will try going with cloth diapers. I think my parents used them for my brother and I, and we hardly ever had a diaper rash.

From an environmental standpoint, 7th generation may be better than cloth diapers. Does anyone have detailed research comparing? It is my understanding that the amount of water and chemicals used to wash cloth diapers (and gas if you use a delivery service) is worse for the environment or at least as bad as using a disposable diaper.

If her sister was really concerned about the environment she would be lobbying for the method where you do not use diapers at all (monitoring your childs input and output). Certainly a lot of work, but I know a handful of folks who have been able to do this successfully.

I sure wish someone would've lobbied me to use cloth diapers while I was pregnant! We didn't discover them until our daughter was almost 2 and dealt with terrible rashes from disposables for all that time for no reason. This time we're doing cloth from the very beginning. We use 7th generation when we travel and we love them too!

That’s great for her! I had to laugh when she talked about going from pepperonis to having some boobs. That cracked me up! Congrats to her and her husband!:)

I'm sure her sister has the best of intentions and is just being helpful, but I think it's rather annoying when people
tell expectant mothers, "Oh, you need to do
things x,y, and z way, because that's
what I do."
