Retraction – Project Runway’s Laura Bennett has not given birth
Update: Nevermind! Apparently, our reader sighting was incorrect – the guys at Project Rungay talked to Laura this morning and she says she hasn’t even left the house all weekend! See their comment below for more information. We apologize for the incorrect information.
However, Laura’s due date was November 15th, so we should hear some news soon.
Originally posted at 12pm: Project Runway contestant Laura Bennett, 43, has given birth to her sixth child – a baby boy. This is her fifth son! No word on name or birth details. He joins older half sister Cleo, 18, from Laura’s first marriage, and brothers Peik, 10, Truman, 7, (who went unnamed until he was named by others at a cocktail party at 3 months old – they called him ‘the baby’ before!), Pierson, 4, and Larson, 3.
A CBB reader spotted Laura in the streets of NYC this morning, and emailed us, saying, "She definitely had the baby! She had a small crowd around her, and the women in the group were all congratulating her."

While I think all of her sons names are nice, the whole group together sounds comically like a Connecituct boarding school roster. Those names belong on a turn-of-the-century “social register”. Too funny about her son Truman! What did they call him for the first three months of his life?!?!

Hi guys, we spoke to Laura this morning and she’s still hanging in there. In fact, she never even left the house this weekend. No baby yet.

Thanks for the information. I’ve been wondering whether she’s had the baby. I great to know that he has made his entrance. I really want to know the name. I read that she really liked the named Gunnar. I wonder if she went with it.

Well, I love her and I wish her and her soon-to-be born son the best. This kid is definately going to have a lot of love from a houseful of fun siblings (Did anyone else see the Turtle Poop episode? Lmao!!)

How is it possible to have not named the baby for 3 months? I thought unless named, the baby cannot leave the hospital, because its birth must be legally recorded on birth certificate?( so sad but neccessary in this day of stolen infants & baby trafficking) Pls let me know: lilkunta @excite.com

lilkunta, I didn’t name my son til 2 days after he came home from the hospital. They said I had a week before he would be listed as baby boy on his bc. Laura said in one of the shows they called him Truman but she didn’t legally change his bc until he was 6 or 7. I love all her kids names. Her sons have very strong distinguished names.

LilKunta, Laura says that his birth certificate said “Baby White Male.”
