It’s a girl for Princess Anita!
Princess Anita of the Netherlands, wife of Prince Pieter-Christiaan gave birth to the couple’s first daughter today at 6 pm in Amsterdam. The baby princess is called Emma Francisca Catharina, and she weighed in at 8 lbs, 7 oz.
They follow the late tradition of the Dutch royal family to give birth to girls as their first children! Emma is the 6th grandchild of the sister of the Queen.

The baby is not a princess. Her father is ‘only’ a son of the queen’s sister and thus his personal princely-title cannot be inherited by his kids.
