Although this is still a rumor, I’m so happy for them! Romy is a cool name for a baby, although I don’t see it very well in a grown up woman. Anyway, likes are likes. Congrats!

Any word yet on whether it’s Romy Mars, Romy Coppola, Romy Mars-Coppola, or Romy Coppola-Mars? Romy is such a short name it seems to need a much longer surname than Mars.

I like the name, but isn’t her brother named Roman? Would be a little too close for my liking.

They could of named the child Romy, out of admiration or love of Sofia’s brother, roman.

We named our now 1-year old daughter Romy and found many a critic around us, but I have to say the name suits her like no other and we love it!

My name is Romy. I was named by my father, after the German actress “Romy Schneider. Five years ago, I met a man who also had a daughter named Romy, who was named after the same actress! We met through a common friends e-mail. She had listed her coorespondance and my “now”, husband saw my name. Surprised, to see someone else with such a “UNIQUE”, name, he made contact! We are now married and between us have five wonderful children! My step-daughter and I think it’s great! Thank God for “Romy Schneider!” Good luck & congratulations! It’s a POWERFUL name!
