Angelina Jolie laughs off pregnancy rumors
On Good Morning America on Wednesday, Angelina Jolie spoke with Diane Sawyer while promoting her new film The Good Shepherd.
When asked to address the constant rumors that she is expecting again, Angelina answered, "I shouldn’t have been drinking wine then, last night! No, no, I’m on the pill…No, we’re not. That’s what I’m saying, that’s not to say we won’t again, but I even think I did make it clear that we would think about adopting next which is important for me in the balance of how — in our own family, our kids perceive it.
I want Madd to know that as our family grew and we all came together, we didn’t just start having children, biological children. You know, that, that yes, we have Shiloh and it’s been a wonderful experience, but we want to find another brother or sister in the world for our family. You know, now the questions are more when you have a mixed-race family, do you balance the races so there’s another African person in the house for Z? So there’s another Asian person in the house for Madd? Shiloh has Brad and I she can look at. You know, these are the questions we’re more asking. What’s best for the children as they grow? … We don’t just want to have different children from different countries. That’s not the point. So we’re learning."

Aww I love Angelina. But I think she said that she wouldn’t rule out having a baby biologically (in the future), not that she wouldn’t do it again.

Kaley, that’s what I heard too. If you listen to the video carefully, she says
“Its NOT that I’m saying, we won’t again, but I even think I did make it clear that we would think about adopting again.”

I dont think she meant she wouldnt have another bio baby. she has said recently in other interviews that she would like more children and would consider adopting again . If you arent adopting, that usually means bio kids.

I definitely heard Angie respond, “that’s not to say we won’t again” about having another biological child. She talks fast.

well, i dont have sound on my computer so I will just have to wait for the interview. Still, she has said in other interviews she wanted to have more kids, adopt more and “have a few”.
Time will tell. She is a great mother no matter how her family grows.

I’ve watched the video a few times… I think it’s quoted wrong on the site. She seems to be saying… “No, we’re not.. and that’s not to say we won’t again… but”. The title of the video on the other site even says “Actress says she’s on the pill but doesn’t rule out having another child”. Whatever she chooses.. I wish them the best.

Angelina and Brad made a beautiful child together, and she was very beautiful while pregnant. I think the only reason she got pg was bc Brad had wanted a biological child for so long.
I think it’s great their adopting, but hope they have atleast one more biological baby.

Angelina once said she would never have biological kids and now they have the gorgeous Shiloh.
I imagined them adopting and going about it in the natural way, I thought she would be the type to love pregnancy but maybe not.

Ok, I just saw the interview on GMA and what she actually said was”And that’s not to say we won’t again, but I even think I did make it clear that we would think about adopting next.” (When asked if she was pregnant)
So she didnt say she wouldnt have another biological child, just that they will most likely adopt again, first.

She gives me the creeps in this interview. Remember when she wore a vial of Billy Bob’s blood around her neck and talked about their sex life in explicit detail? She’s had an image makeover since then (new manager?) but my feeling is she’s still kinda off. I predict a Joan Crawford, Mommy Dearest-style expose to come out once her kids are grown. Just sayin’.

I can imagine she didn’t intend to reveal her birth control method. It would be hard to be interviewed constantly. It’s not like you can stop and strategize about your answer. I’m sure celebrities go back to their dressing rooms all the time and react the way we do: “I can’t believe I said that!” I have those moments all the time. Thank goodness nothing I say is televised.

She reminded me so much of Brad with her body mannerisms when she responded. Esp. when she mentioned being on the Pill. If you’ve ever watched him answer questions, you’ll notice the similarity. She’s picked up his mannerisms.

Yeah, thanks for the correction Sarah. I think that the “no we’re not” part was meaning no we’re not pregnant again. I don’t particularly like whole Brad/Jen/Angelina situation, but I do like Angelina in general, and I love seeing and reading about the family. I think part of her allure, or their allure rather, is never knowing what they’re going to do next. I like to think that she’d be living “this way” even if she wasn’t in the spotlight which is a good thing. I’m excited to see them adopt again, whenever that is, and the child that will join this awesome family.
I don’t know what’s entirely personal about birth control unless you want it to be. Millions of women take the pill, I wouldn’t gasp if they told me this. I also see women with the patch on. I think she’s extremely sincere. If she didn’t share any of her life people would say she’s strange, hiding something, uppity, or any number of things. Angelina shows us all of the time that she’s human meaning she’s not perfect…what else should she be?

she didnt wear a vial of blood, I really get annoyed with that rumor. it was a small prick of blood in a locket, sort of like blood brothers do..as kids.
Please.. the woman is only 31 years old… she adopted maddox when she was 26, her life changed after that. Why all this harping on things she might have done or not done when she was a teen or in her early twenties. i wouldnt want to be constantly judged by things I did when I was young. We all grow and change… she has grown into a wonderful mother and a strong, generous, kind person.

Those who want to be critical can come up with all kinds of crazy reasons to be if you want. She was not at all creepy in this interview, just the opposite. She showed to be a happy woman who loves her children and her life. She does not have an agent and hasnt for years. She is the most honest actor I know of and speaks from the heart. A phony she clearly is not, whatever else you may think of her. I seriously doubt there will be any Mommy Dearest books from her children. Quite the opposite I would imagine.
