RUMOR: Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey expecting?
Update: Many readers in the comments are guessing that Vanessa is buying holiday or baby shower gifts for her TRL co-worker LaLa Vasquez, who’s expecting a baby boy. Petit Tresor has a registry for Lala with a due date of January 13th.
TMZ is reporting that Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey may be expecting. Vanessa was apparently spotted shopping at Petit Tresor, a favorite among celebrity moms for clothes for a baby boy. Vanessa apparently bought a baby basket for $189, a frog plush toy for $38 and a blanket for $269, along with other items. The source also says she did not have them gift wrapped. Adding fuel to the fire, is the fact that Vanessa has been wearing loose tops on TRL for the past couple of weeks. If she is expecting, this will be the first child for both stars, who have been together since early this year.

Talk about a beautiful baby! I really hope this rumor is true because Nick has said in the past that he wants a family & Jessica wanted to work on her career. He & Vanessa always look happy together. I’m sure becoming an uncle made him want his own even more. Congratulations if it’s true!

Could be. There seems to be a rash of men leaving women who can’t/won’t/haven’t have a kid with them and then their new girls popping up pregnant pretty quickly, in the celebrity world and among people I know. I recently had a “not ready for kids” friend lose her boyfriend of 5 years to a girl who pops up pregnant after just a few months of dating him and announce they are getting married.

I highly doubt she’s pregnant and far enough along to know if she’s having a boy or girl. Most people who have an u/s to determine gender do so around 20 weeks into the pregnancy. She was probably just shopping for a friend or family member. If she really was pregnant and trying to hide it, she’d order off a website or get an assistant to buy stuff for her.

I think it would be great for him becasue all he really wanted was a family. i think Jessica was just too young and immature to really be apart of their marriage.

There was also a rumor going around on some website that Nick called Jessica and told her how he was going to marry Vanessa. He supposedly wanted Jessica to hear it from him first.

well, Petit Tresor doesn’t have a Vasquez in their registry system, so who knows!! I HOPE Nick and Vanessa are getting married and maybe expecting! That would be GREAT!!!

I dont watch TRL, however I saw a pic of her with Taylor Hicks, I think that is who it was. It was a pic from TRL, and I thought she looks pregnant. But it might have to do with the top she had on.

Speaking of LaLa, I just heard on the news about her fiancee and baby daddy Carmelo Anthony’s disgusting escapades during the New York Knicks game in which he punched a Knicks player in the face during a brawl. I won’t say my feelings on the subject in their entirety in this post because I know it won’t be posted if I do. All I have to say is that he ought to be ashamed of himself for embarassing his fiancee and unborn child this way and I hope they suspend his sorry behind indefinitely.

Oh Lord, Do we REALLY know that Nick called Jessica? Either way I think she’s shopping for LaLa. I DO think these 2 seem to be far more suited for oneanother. Nick and Jessica always seemed so mismatched to me for some reason. If and when they choose to become a family… that would be one beauuuutiful babe.

I was, and still am a HUGE HUGE fan of Nick and Jessica. However, I wish them both the best. I dont think Vanessa is going to have a baby right now, but I am sure Nick would make a wonderful father. And I am sure Vanessa would make a good mother as well. Regardless of the baby or not, I wish them luck!

I heard that same “rumor” that Nick called Jessica to inform her that he was going to marry Vanessa. However if the “Rumors” are true, Hmm who knows. I as well do hope Vanessa is pregnant, that baby would be gorgeous. Again she could be shopping for someone else, I mean it is the holidays after all but I have my fingers crossed..hmm

well, I looked at LaLa’s registry and nothing has been bought off of it. Hmmmm…. And, when I checked Petit Tresor yesterday there was nothing for LaLa at all. I guess time will tell.

Most likely Venessa was just buying something for LaLa, or another pregnant friend, but I doubt she’s actually pregs yet.
As far as baby registries go, I’d take what they have listed with a grain of salt. I and my sister have each bought items for people from their registries, and sometimes the items still don’t get deleted at some places. (My sister’s friend got two sets of glass tumblers from her list because the functionality on the registry didn’t work right.)
Anyway, what’s to say that Venessa didn’t go old school and just bought whatever she wanted for Lala, not just what she registered* for…or if she (Lala) didn’t even have an offical account with Petit Tresor, then Venessa could’ve purchased anything for her friend.
(*Also who’s to say if Lala was registered, that she didn’t regster under a different name or something? Is ‘Lala’ really her first name, for example?)

if a women looks at baby clothes does that mean she is pregnant? really a ridiculous rumour.
