Larry Birkhead speaks out
Larry Birkhead claims he is the biological father of Anna Nicole’s Smith infant daughter and wants to be involved in her life, even going as far as suing for a DNA test to prove his paternal rights. Larry spoke with In Touch about his battle with Anna Nicole and her "husband" Howard K. Stern for paternity and access to 4-month-old Dannielynn Hope, who is being raised by Howard, who Anna claims is the actual father.
"I hate that it’s come down to forcing someone to do the right thing," he says. "If Dannielynn is mine, Howard must remove his name from the birth certificate and pay for what he’s done."
The photographer, who had a brief relationship with the former pinup, says he doesn’t care where the DNA test happens, whether it be in the U.S. or the Bahamas, where Dannielynn lives with Anna Nicole, he only wants to be certain the test is performed correctly.
"I just want to choose the lab so I know it’s her hair."

Truly he has every right to know if he’s the father and if he is proven to be one has every right to be Dannielynn’s daddy. I don’t know why the two of them are making it so difficult. If you have nothing to hide you do a DNA test and get it over with! But obviously she doesn’t know for sure who the daddy is and probably doesn’t want Larry to be the dad hense the reason for taking it all to court.
I haven’t really followed the story bc I don’t really care. But I do believe in parental rights. If this guy is a good decent man there should be no reason why he can’t know if he’s a dad or not of this little girl!!

What does he mean “Pay for what he did”? Howard has done nothing but stand by Anna-Nicole at this extremely difficult time in her life (I.e Her Son’s death).

Hes a jerk. Any man who goes to the press and says nasty things about HIS CHILDS MOTHER is a publicity w****!! Not a DECENT man…
Im SURE Anna Nicole has a VERY VERY good reason for not trusting him nor wanting him in Dannielynns life…
Howard is a VERY good friend for protecting her the way he has! He couldget in alot of trouble cause of this, but he loves her.
Look at the way her mom and other people have USED and hurt her…
She should have had a baby with Howard to begin with, cause he is the one who truly is the gem and loves her!

I feel bad for him, though I have no idea why he thinks Howard needs to “pay” when it’s obviously Anna’s decision to withhold Dannielynn. The mother is the one who fills out the birth certificate. Maybe Howrd truly believes he is the father and was duped by Anna too (assuming Larry is the real dad). It just seems kind of misdirected to me to blame Howard.

Oh no. I saw Larry on TV last night. His lawyer mentioned something about making sure the right baby was being tested.
So, if the dna test says she is not his daughter…
It’s a very sad situation. I’m glad it’s going to be somewhat resolved while she is too young to remember.

I hope he picks a US lab, given the level of corruption in the Bahamas, I wouldn’t put it past Stern or Smith to bribe lab officials. In the US at least that threat is minimized.

I feel bad for him all he wants to do is to find out if the baby is his or not, and Anna are not willing to let him, she also told him that he was the father at first and then she tells him he is not, off course he wonders if he is the father. It will be proved when the DNA test is done if he is the father or not. And I hope they do it in the US and at a Lab that you trust everything is dobe properly.

Everyone has their own opinion. If there wasn’t something to hide then why hasn’t the test already taken place? Is it true that Anna Nicole has been on drugs? Do you think she deserves to retain custody of a child that she’s not willing to share with the father? If she’s doing the same kind of drugs that killed her son, the baby should be removed from her care immediately. Just like it would be done to anyother drug addict mother. Come on Anna Nicole, for once, make the right decision for someone besides your self.

Larry, I am so very happy for you… I am so glad that you are Dannielynn’s father…
You now can start a new & fresh step in life, with your daughter… I know you will be a great father… I am here to support all the way through…

Larry is the father and has every right to have his daughter and Anna was not in her right mind to make clear decitions about what was the right thing to do when it came to their daughter. Everyone else just got in the way with what was the right thing to do and that was for her and Larry to work it out on their oun from the start.
