Rumor: Julia Roberts expecting a son?
According to Star magazine, Julia Roberts and husband Danny Moder are expecting a boy and that her due date is June 22nd.
Star’s source tells them that Julia underwent unsuccessful in vitro fertilization treatments in May, June, and July. “She was convinced she would never have another child," says the source, but then conceived naturally.
“She loves being a Mom and she can’t wait for her third baby to be born,” says the source.

Can one have IVF treatments three months in a row like that? I thought it was better to wait between attempts. And what do you all think about people conceiving naturally after failed attempts?

I’m almost sure it is a rumor. I love her family, gosh! I can’t wait to see the new bundle of joy.

I don’t know about trying 3 months in a row. But I do have a cousin who had 2 failed attempts at IVF then about a year later just ended up pregnant. Her daughter is almost 4 now and they have not been able to concieve again but appearently it can happen. I have also met a doctor that had a failed attempt at IVF so her and her husband adopted a little girl. Right before they were suppose to get her she found out she was pregnant. No IVF or anything!! So now she has two addoralbe girls only a year apart.
As for Julia, I am super excited for her. I too am having a big struggle with infertility. So it is always nice to hear a succes story!!! I wish all 5 of them the best!!! Can’t wait to hear more!

Alicia’s story reminds me of the story this woman from my church told about how over 30 yrs ago she and her husband had had two older sons and wanted a daughter but didn’t get pregnant right away. Then they had this opportunity to adopt a little girl from Viet Nam or somewhere, so the lady had to go over there to pck her up. In the meantime though, in the months it took to pursue & finalize the adoption, she did get pregnant…so in the end she and her husband ended up with two daughters only about a year or so apart.
As far as Julia Roberts, I could imagine that she might’ve had a failed IVF treatment or two, and maybe she did concieve naturally this time (and maybe it is a boy?), but somehow I hope that she didn’t go through that many treatments in a row and so forth.

Does anyone know about IVF being the resource for their first pregnancy with the twins? Either way, congratulations to her and Danny. She seems like a great mom.

Most fertility docs will not allow back to back IVF’s. First of all, the typical IVF cycle is 6 weeks, not 4. Secondly, with the amount of meds involved its jsut too much for the body to go through back to back. Now she may have done FET’s (frozen embryo transfers) back to back as there is no ovarian stimulation involved and less meds in general. My suspicion is this is an FET maybe from her original pregnancy with the twins or maybe from an IVF cycle this summer. (I did an IVF this summer as well…expecting a little boy too!)

how far along is she anyway?? Is she far enough along to know the sex yet?? AND, I also have never heard of doing IVF back to back to back like that. But, who knows what celebs are allowed to get away with because they have money! Whatever Julia has, I hope its a healthy baby!
