Isn’t anything real anymore? I’m glad I’m not a celebrity if this is what it involves. Everybody’s fake, and people are after you for your money, especially if you’re over 30, and if you’re under 30 you’d best have some money set aside for some fake boobs.

I guess no one knows that it is the age of the father that is connected with genetic birth defects, cancers, autism, diabetes risk, mental retardation, schizophrenia etc.

I dislike saying this kind of thing about anyone, but frankly I think it’s disgusting. Not only in the obvious way, but also in the sense of being an utterly selfish act. If this was any other 80-year-old man, it would be global tabloid news for all the wrong reasons, but because it’s Hef, it’s somehow acceptable? Not to me. If it were an 80-year-old woman (let alone being scientifically impossible), the woman in question would probably be held up as a pinnacle of idiocy and have her house firebombed by protestors!

IMHO I think it’s better if Holly had a baby with Hugh rather than some anonymous sperm donor, because at least there’s the potential of taking pictures of the baby with his or her daddy at some time in their lives. Even if the child doesn’t have a father for as many years as most kids their age, at least they’ll know who their father was. (This is the case with Tony Randall’s kids as well as Julio Iglesias Sr.’s little ones.)

(Personally though I don’t care for Hef’s polygomy reputation with his multiple girlfriends, although maybe it is like some of you said, in that Bridgett & Kendra are more his “girlfriends” for the show than anything else?)

Also how many kids does Hef have already? I know he has a son and daughter from his first marriage (or at least a daughter) in their 50s, and two sons from his second marriage who’d now be teenagers at least.* (I wonder if his teen sons like to visit “dear ol’ dad” now? I’d imagine so, but not on the ‘Girls Next Door’ show.)

I wonder if Hef would actually marry for a 3rd time, before he’d actually have a baby with Holly, or just forgo that part because of his age?

(*Once Hef does pass, he’ll have one interesting will to contest with, considering his kids, exes, and past history in general.)

He atleast is honest about his lifestyle, unlike, some parents that hide their boozing, infidelity etc!

I love them and whatever makes them happy, makes me happy!! That child will still be loved ALOT….no matter what. Holly wants a baby and wont have a baby with anyone BUT Hugh…I think it is adorable…the love that they have for each other

Christina: I’ve never been against older women becoming mothers. It’s their choice, just as it’s an older man’s choice if he wants to become a dad. =) If they want it, go ahead. Their lives, their choice to make. Not me, not mine! =)

In response to Christina, women and men have different issues at the same age in regards to pregnancy and birth. If women regenerated eggs, people wouldn’t have the same issues. But when you get women in the 40+ range wanting to have children, they are running a health risk for both themselves and the baby. Men aren’t doing the same thing when they are at that age.

As for them having a kid together, everyone has their own choices. There are kids born into much worse situations that grow up to be wonderful people.
