Does anyone else find this picture uncomfortable? Diddy has both of the (adorable) girls in his arms, he’s looking directly into the camera, and Kim is off to the side looking not at the girls or even the camera, but at Diddy. Of all of the pictures released by celebrities (and the magazines that love them) with their new bundle(s) of joy…this strikes me as disturbing. Add to that the caption! I mean, was Kim even a part of the incredible process of human development? Now, I’m aware that Diddy in no way strives to market himself as a humble man, and certainly he’s the parent with the greater celebrity, but why not, for just a moment, present to the world a picture that celebrates the whole family?

Melissa, I think you are way over-reacting. I’m sure it wouldn’t be easy to get a shot of one kid at that age looking happy, let alone too. I would imagine the photographer took rolls of flim until they got a great shot of the babies. During the course of the shoot, the babies probably cried, slept, pooped, and peed. This is probably the best shot of the girls, and Kim just happens to be looking at Diddy in it.

The girls are adorable and look identical to me. This shot is strange, though. It looks like Diddy is lying in a hospital bed, having just given birth, and Kim is just “there” watching. Hey Diddy, let Kim lie there and show off the babies. She did all the work!

Aww, both girls are beautiful, such a pretty coffee colour and those big eyes, I think they look more like their mummy at the moment. Diddy looks genuinely thrilled too, such a sweet picture.

PS. In reference to the comments about the way Diddy is situated in the picture- I find it highly likely that the photographer/purchasers of the pictures wanted him to be the main focus over Kim because, ultimately, he’s the star of the two. If Kim had had children with a non-famous man, she and the children would not be on the front cover of a bestselling magazine, that’s not a slight on her, it’s just a fact. People want to see Diddy.

I think people are overreacting to the way Diddy looks in the picture. I am sure that TONS of pictures were taken, with many different poses….this is the one that the magazine chose to use. To me, it looks like they Kim and Diddy were having fun in this photo shoot. Relax….don’t over analyze….

Wow, Melissa. I think you overreacted a bit. I agree with you, Sabrina. Diddy is actually the so-called “star”. I don’t even really know who Kim is. And I like the fact that he’s holding his baby girls. I didn’t get all those vibes the rest of you did. It’s a sweet picture and those babies are too adorable!

I hadn’t even paid much attention to Diddy, but Kim and the girls are gorgeous. They look just like her (fortunately!)and right now they do appear to be identical. You hardly ever see identical twins anymore, they always seem to be fraternal these days.

Well, I think Melissa is over-reacting a bit too, but if you read a recent Ebony article in which Sean Combs basically says that he’s still Kim’s “boyfriend,” and what Kim says about how she “knew he was coming back,” from the whole Jennifer Lopez episode, Melissa might have a point. I don’t like their relationship, although I realize and respect that it must be working for them. But yes, I think Kim is a little over-the-top about Sean Combs and could find a better father and someone willing to be her husband at this point instead of just her “babies daddy.”

E! news said they are identical and there would be pictures in Friday’s People too. They also showed some different shots with one where Sean is holding one of the twins and Kim holding the other and they are both sitting down looking at the camera smiling…another one of them standing in a kitchen (?) each holding one of the twins and another smaller one of the twins laying beside eachother…..in all of them they are wearing cream/white outfits. Really cute babies.

This picture reminds me of the famous Vanity Fair cover shot of Tom Cruise holding baby Suri, while Katie Holmes looks at them lovingly from the side. Very similar configuration.

There must be more pictures inside where Kim is more central, but yes on balance, even taking into account the far greater celebrity of Mr Diddy, the daddy, surely a woman who has had twins should also take pride of place, whrn the piece is about the erm twins?

Personally, I think the cover shot is hilarious. I think it’s one of the most humorous things I’ve seen in a long time precisely because Diddy looks like he just gave birth. Kim looks like she thinks it’s hilarious too, looking over from the side. I mean can you imagine? A big tough guy rapper giving birth to twins? Very funny.

Hell I’d look at Diddy too if I had given birth to his twins. KACHING you are forgetting that Kim Porter is a woman that is receiving over $30,000 per month in child support for her and Diddy’s first son. So think about 2 more added to her accounting ledger!

what a lovely family. the babies are beautiful. i agree with the post that said they probably took lots of pictures and picked out the one that came out best of the babies. God bless.
