Tori Spelling’s baby shower
Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott celebrated the impending birth of their son this past Saturday with a blue-themed baby shower at Elixir Tonic & Tea in West Hollywood. On their baby boy, due March 28th, Dean says,
We’re so excited to share this special time with our friends. We can’t wait to meet the little man. We feel him kicking all the time and we’re so eager to finally see him."
Tori, dressed in a blue mini-dress, was surrounded by about 50 guests, including her Beverly Hills 90210 costar and fellow celeb mom Jennie Garth and Tori’s So NoTORIous reality show "mom" Loni Anderson. Noticeably absent was Tori’s estranged mom, Candy Spelling. "I’ve loved being pregnant, but I’m ready to give birth. I can’t wait to be a mom and hold this little baby in my arms," Tori told People.
The Tupperware-sponsored shower was planned by Jo Gartin of Love Luck and Angels, who said, "They wanted the party colors to mimic their baby’s turquoise blue and chocolate brown nursery." It included a menu of grilled cheese sandwiches, tuna melts, pigs in a blanket, mini corndogs and all blue desserts, including blueberry popsicles, all served on blue Etch-a-Sketch trays.
Guests left the shower around 7 p.m. with a $600 gift bag created by The Silver Spoon, filled with "Everybody’s Nuts" pistachios, blue Belly Bars, Kama Sutra Weekender love kits, Michael Stars T-shirts, Too Faced Lip Injection, novelty books Haiku Mama and Penis Pokey, a $250 pearl bracelet from Pearl Paradise, an InphantElefant baby blanket, and, of course, Tupperware. Gifts Tori and Dean received included Bumble Bags diaper bags and Tummy Honey products. Tupperware also sponsored Mariska Hargitay’s shower.
Viewers will be able to watch the shower on the couple’s new reality show Tori & Dean: Inn Love on the Oxygen network in March.

Not to be mean or anything, but
that baby shower sounds slightly
odd.

It sounds really fun to me! I would have loved to have a shower like that! I’m excited for her…I’m glad she’s having a boy, I’m baby boy-crazy (biased? yes! I have a boy!) Good luck to her.

“Kama Sutra Weekender love kits”
Um, why the heck was that part of the gift bag for a baby shower? Sounds like something more for a wedding shower if you ask me.

sounds like a really fun shower!

I can appreciate the fact that they had a shower, however do the guests really need a $600 gift bag? Wouldn’t the products or the cash have been better spent donated? It irks me when these people who already have loads of money get these gift bags for attending a shower, come on!

Do people really just not care that there is mercury in tuna? I know “they” say a certain amount is safe but there is no way I would eat something that I know has mercury in it, no matter how small of an amount.

Maybe they’re hoping to spread the baby love with the Kama Sutra book. Seems like she wants to visit her friends’s baby showers next year!

That’s too bad her mother wouldn’t help her out. On the ETnews show, I heard Candy Spelling say that she was excited about the baby. You’d think they’d reconcile already. Maybe that’ll all change when the baby comes and looks just like Aaron Spelling.

I love Tori… but what is the deal with a Tupperware sponsored baby shower? Hollywood is so odd. It’s like another planet. So, Tupperware… the food sounded…. um…. kitchy. Corn Dogs, pigs in a blanket and “Everybody’s Nuts”. Hollyweirdos. Anyway, Tori looks great. She’s hilarious. Good luck to her.

just coz there was tuna doesn’t mean tori ate it.
x17online has a video link of them all leaving the place but i can’t get it to work, along with more pics. the comments are cruel though.

LOL, corn dogs? pigs in a blanket? popcicles? grilled cheese and tuna melts? If it weren’t for the $600 oddly filled goodie bags you would think this baby shower was thrown in the trailer park!

Good luck to them. She looks great. I like the idea of the turquoise/chocolate nursery–those colors are so great together!

I don’t know where you people got your info, but I’m the chef that catered that party. Tuna melt? Mini corndogs? What a joke. Try puff pastry pizza, tuna tartar, fruit salads, avocado sorbet, and mini filet mignon. Feel free to hit me up for the real details. foodtrilogy@yahoo.com
