Rumor: Kylie Minogue considering adoption following public split
Pop singer Kylie Minogue recently went through a very public breakup with longtime boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez, and friends say the split has prompted the star to become more active in her dreams of adopting a child. She is reportedly even turning to big name celebrity friends for inspiration, including pop icon Madonna. According to what a friend told The Daily Mail,
She has been contacting adoption agencies in Australia and in the UK as well, regardless of her not having a partner. In the last few days she has even been talking to Madonna, asking her advice on adopting a child from abroad. They were talking about Malawi and the other African countries.

It is so nice to be a celebrity… Someone with her medical history would be denied for international adoption, that is if she was a non-celebrity… That is if the adoption was done thru a credited adoption agency…
But since she is a celeb… I am guessing they bend the rules…
For us non celebs, especially those living in Florida… In order to adopt internationally, (as of criteria that will be in place as of May 2007), you have to be married, no serious medical history, you have to sign a form that states that you are not gay, be of certain age, cannot be overweight, make a certain amount of money, certain amount in assets and not be taking any psychotropic medications.

In response to Heavenly-hubiscus’s commment, I would just like to say how narrow minded you must be! If you know anything about Kylie, she has talked publicly before about her desire to have children with Olivier, and also about adopting. Instead of “filling a void” left by Olivier, I think she has instead realized that her and Olivier will never have children together, and instead decided to be proactive about having children on her own, via adoption.

Rumours.! I do not believe this at all since it was started in a UK tabloid always know to speculate wildly.Madonna in a recent interview she did not know Kylie at all.
I suspect Miss Minogue is rather more keen to get said lover (ex) back than do babies.

I don’t think she can settle down and take care of a kid. Kylie is so obsessed with the limelight and herself, that she would go crazy if she gave it up. She feeds off the attention.
