Liev Schreiber confirms: Naomi’s expecting
If Naomi won’t reveal anything, Liev will! In an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien last evening, Liev Schreiber, 39, confirmed that he and Naomi Watts, 38, are expecting their first child, by saying, "Yes, I’m going to be a dad." No word on how far along Naomi is, or what they’re having, but Liev did share some funny anecdotes.

-The baby will not be named Liev – Liev says, "No, it’s a terrible name. It’s probably the most mis-pronounced name in all of show business. It’s bad enough that I have gone through that for 15 years. There won’t be any Liev juniors. It’s not like George, you can call five kids George. You can’t really call anyone Liev, you shouldn’t call one child that, I don’t think!"
-He refers to Naomi as his girlfriend, but it’s believed that she’s actually his fiancee – she’s been wearing an engagement ring with the stone turned in as of late.
-Liev has tried to be helpful, but he says, "I’m trying to stay out of it all. I’m trying not to make anydecisions, [because] everything that I try to do in service of her orthe coming baby is wrong. So I really don’t even go to my house muchanymore."
- Liev mentions that since Naomi’s been pregnant, she wants to go out all the time. Referring to her as a "party girl," he says he made fun of her for being excited to go to the Oscars, but she said, "No, no – it’s a very auspicious thing that our embryo is going to be at the Oscars!"

Why don’t Liev and Naomi get married? I don’t understand the actors and actresses and why they think they have a different standard then the people not connected with the movie business. Their morals leave a lot to be desired. If you don’t want to get married, then why get pregnant? Why have a child with someone you don’t want to marry? All these people that condone this kind of thing are no better.

It was such a surprise to see him talk about it on Conan! I’m very happy for them, particularly for Naomi who wanted a baby “since she was 19″.. I’m thinking they’re having a girl first, like the other actresses born on Sept. 28–Mira Sorvino and Gwyneth Paltrow.
