What do you love most about your kids?
Renee and Liam completely make me happy. They make me laugh every single
day. They make me crazy mad sometimes and they make you go through all the
emotions all in one day, and that’s what living is about – to go through all
those types of emotions and be pushed. That makes life fun. For sure they’re
the best thing in my life.
What are your kids into?
Liam is into his ice hockey and Renee loves her ballet. I was just the same
as Renee at her age.
Would you let your daughter Renee become a model?
I just want to let my kids grow up at their own pace and have a normal
childhood. Renee can do whatever she wants, but as far as I’m concerned
modelling is a job that I’ve chosen for myself, so I wouldn’t want to push
her into my world.
Do you have any advice for parents?
As a parent of teenagers, I always try to remember back to when I was a
teenager myself. Adults quickly forget they were teenagers at one stage.
I’ve just been really lucky with Renee and Liam. They’re two great kids. I
think you just have to be very open – very communicative – always talking.
You just take it one step at a time and each day is different.
What are your hopes and dreams for your kids?
That they both get to lead fun and full lives. I hope they’re happy and
healthy and do what they want to do. As to their future when they start
dating, I think we all have good and bad relationships, and those are our
big learning blocks – so that is something that I would want them to have
safely because we all learn so much from those experiences … that said, I
hope Renee decides to be a nun!
