The King of Morocco and his wife, Salma Benani, welcomed a baby girl, Princess Khadija, on Wednesday, 28th of February, as announced by spokesperson Chakib Laroussi to the Associated Press. The name is in honor of Salma’s late mother.
The birth was announced by the traditional 21 cannon fires shortly after 8 pm. The King and Princess Salma have already a son, Moulay Hassan, born in 2003.
