"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Sofia Coppola on the adventure of Motherhood

Tags: News, Quotes

Sofia Coppola, director of Marie Antoinette and Lost In Translation, gave birth to her daughter Romy last November and has spent quite a bit of time just being a stay at home mom.

Right now I’m focusing on that. The baby is only three months old. It’s a lot of heating bottles, so that’s what I do all day.

Sofia told People that motherhood for her so far is "great" and "exciting."

"It’s a whole new experience," the 35-year-old celebrity daughter of famed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola said.

As for if she’s mastered her role as a mother since Romy’s birth, she says, "No, I don’t think anyone has it down pat! It’s definitely a new adventure."

Romy’s dad is the French singer Thomas Mars.

Interesting that she is not bf’ing. I know she gave birth in France and the French have the lowest bf’ing rates in Western Europe. I wonder had she given birth in California if she would have chosen differently? Sometimes that initial encouragement/support you get from hospital staff or the ability to easily meet with a lactation consultant if you experience difficulties can make all the difference.
