John Travolta and Kelly Preston plan for baby #3
A sibling may be on the way for Jett and Ella Bleu. John Travolta says he and his wife Kelly Preston have been thinking about having a third child for a while and it may just happen this summer as long as Kelly is okay with it.
There’s a thought of this summer maybe trying for a third but that depends on Kelly’s schedule. I leave it up to her.
Being one of six siblings, John has always envisioned himself having a large clan.
I really like having kids. I enjoy their energy and it keeps everything wonderful and hopeful…I thought I would have five or six.
Two, for now, is plenty fulfilling for the actor as well. He says watching Jett and Ella – who will turn 15 and 7, respectively, next month – grow up is "fascinating."
They’re yours and they’re beautiful and they’re constantly changing and offering you new thoughts and ideas, so I love watching them grow up…They’re your future, really.
John and Kelly have been married for 15 years.

I hope they both realize that it is not easy to get and stay pg when one is 40+ years old.
Sure it happens, but statistically, it is rare without intervention. I do however, appreciate their optimism.
I hope for their sake, they stay grounded and are aware what they *may* be in for; it may take medical intervention to make this happen for their family.

Yes, Kelly is over 40 so it’s harder (not for John that is a man). I really hope they make this thought come true.

Not to mention the fact that if they do conceive, the incidence of the child being born with a birth defect (such as Downs Syndrome) also increases with the age at which the mother has the child. Not saying it will happen or that anyone wants it to happen, but that’s also a factor they have to take into consideration. I’m only weighing in on this fact because of previous reference to their oldest child Jett and the fact that he may or may not have some type of autism, and his parents’ allegedly not wanting to acknowledge that he has a special need that may require some outside help.

I don’t think I would be sharing such private information with the public, like others have said with her age it is a lot more difficult to get pregnant right away, doesn’t seem like they are being very realistic.

Ana: Actually fertility levels in men start to drop after the age of 40, so John’s age could be a factor as well in whether or not they are able to have another child.

I think the reason they are sharing this information is because maybe they figure they can take fertility drugs or something, if she doesn’t get pregnant quickly. Seems like a lot of celebrities have kids well into their 40’s now. Although I will say I know quite a few women that got pregnant when they least expected it, at 42, 43. It all depends on how fertile you are, there are woman in their 20’s that have a hard time getting pregnant, and there are other women that get pregnant easy at any age.
