Howard K. Stern appeals paternity ruling
In the latest development in the paternity battle for Anna Nicole Smith’s baby Dannielynn, 6 months, we have now learned that Howard K. Stern has filed an appeal in the case. DNA was taken from Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead last week. (Howard did not need to provide DNA, since under Bahamian law he is the father as stated on the birth certificate.) Test results typically take three to five days, however, there is a gag order in effect in this case that will keep the identity of the father confidential until at least April 3rd, when the next meeting in the paternity case is scheduled to take place. The date was set to allow Howard time to appeal.
Meanwhile, a battle has been brewing between Larry and Anna’s estranged mother Virgie Arthur. Last week Virgie made a statement saying that she wanted to raise Dannielynn, to which Larry had a quick response. He said,
No one will take my child and raise it except me. That is final. She is my baby girl and I will raise her.
Virgie then responded by saying:
The most important thing in my life right now is the safety of Dannielynn. I do not believe Howard is the child’s father and most certainly not the right person to be looking after her. If that means seeking custody while this mess is sorted out, then that is what I will do. I know and like Larry but of course I want to be a part of Dannielynn’s life and for her to grow up in the happy and stable environment she needs.
As of now it seems unknown when we will find out the results of paternity and at this point somewhat unlikely that we will know anything on April 3rd. Larry stays optimistic, as always. After the appeal was filed he told reporters that Howard can try to ‘delay as long as he wants, you can’t delay forever.’

Ugh. Howard K. Stern is making himself look worse and worse. It’s like he KNOWS she isn’t his and wants to hide her and delay and delay for as long as possible…doesn’t he realize the DAMAGE this is going to do to her as an adult? Even if his appeals get granted and Larry relents or is ultimately denied being given those results, don’t you think that would only give Dannilynne reason to hate Howard when she becomes an adult? If it was me, I would be like, “This man wanted to find out if he was my father and you denied him that right and he could still be my dad” that is how i would feel. I think Howard knows Larry is the father, or at least has an inkling that Larry has a strong chance of being the father, so he is just trying to keep him away. This is SO unfair. It’s actually the most frustrating situation I think i have ever witnessed in the media.

Looks like Larry is the father otherwise Howard wouldn’t be appealing.
I’m sure he has an attachment to Dannielynn so I hope that Larry lets him have visitation with her.

There is something really strange about anna’s mother. She is trying to hard to get control of everything and I am starting to wonder if she just wants the money. I will not comment on who the childs father is because I was not there but if one of them is proven to be the father anna’s mother should not get custody considering her track record with raising her own children. It is sad to say but I think a stranger would be better raising this child considering the options she has because all of them see dollar signs when they look at her.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm as of Virgie l think its her right to raise that kid .take yourself in her position then you will know how it hurts.Noone knows exactly why anna was not seeing eye to eye with her mom.but still she remains her mom bad or nice .lets be considerate

I don’t know if some of you remember but a few months back ET did an interview with Larry Birkhead and he had his baby picture with him. They put it next to a picture of Dannielynn. If you didn’t know that one was Larry Birkhead you would have thought that both pictures were of Dannielynn.
Howard needs to stop this sick and twisted “protect Anna” thing. It seems that most people in her camp came out defending her. It is plain to see that Howard doesn’t have what is in the best interests of Dannielynn otherwise he would let the courts do their job and find out once and for all who the father of Dannielynn is. We all know it couldn’t be Howard K. Stern there is no way a beautiful baby like Dannielynn could have come from him. Howard has borrowed money from his parents because Anna was basically taking care of him as far as money what a mouch. He is out of work and hasn’t really worked as a lawyer since 2002.
Maybe he got his nutjobness from his family after all they are willing to fork out alot of money for what seems like an uphill fight. His own sister even admits that Anna Nicole told her that she didn’t know who the father was and that was from a conversation back in May of 2006 before Dannielynn was born. The Dates add up? the time that Dannielynn was conceived was when she was appearing with Larry as her boyfriend, at a new years party she kissed him at midnight and while Howard was present he didn’t get a kiss. Anna Nicole started denying that Larry was the father when he insisted that she be drug tested and the baby be tested when she was born. Maybe that was the reason she fled to the Bahamas.

Personally I will be happy when I don’t have to hear about this story anymore. Call me mean but there a lot more important events happening that are being ignored because every station is still talking about Anna Nicole.

I think you all need to read the bible and stop judging. If Anna wanted her child to be raised by Howard who are you to say she’s wrong. Maybe she knew more then you do about it. And if she didn’t have money none would care who got the baby. If Howard is the father I can see him not wanting the world to get into his business. As it is he had to let two people go to and help plan her funeral who had no right to be there. Her mother who as we all seen Anna hated. And a guy who “said” he had an affair with her. Ok how many old boyfriends get to go to and help plan there x’s funeral. And as far as Virgie goes…. well all I will say if my child died I would never walk over the grave!!!!
I just pray Dannielynn is loved and taken care of, and knows that her mother loved her. And maybe someone can help her to understand why people thought they could run her Mother and fathers name into the ground just because it made news……

Maybe you should pay more attention to the news. As it goes on it gets more and more likely that LB is the father. HKS has already allowed the world into places it shouldn’t have been example: ANS’s funeral. If he cared anything about privacy those cameras wouldn’t have been allowed to film the funeral, burial, her casket being lowered into the ground, and the luncheon afterwards. While Virgie needs some sense, she shouldn’t have said “I loved my daughter” then not long after walked over her grave. That shows such lack of love and disrespect.
The law judges us all the time. Especially when a mom who supposedly loves her baby does drugs while pregnant. Why all those nannies? she didn’t work she basically stayed coped up in a home in the bahamas for a long time.
The whole judging thing is total nonsense. Im sure some of us have read the bible. The passage you are reffering to tells people not to judge people as a person but their actions. Its not as if all of the bad things that Howard and Anna did were not reported or not in the news time to get out of the rock your under.
In the US if a child is being abused or if someone did drugs while pregnant and the baby tests positive for those drugs when born the baby is taken away. But in the Bahamas they don’t do that I wonder why????????
