U2 Frontman Bono becomes British knight…and brings his family along for the ride
Rockstar and U2 frontman Bono, nee Paul Hewson, became a knight of the British empire Thursday in Dublin, Ireland. Bono brought along his wife, Ali and their four children - Jordan, 17; Eve, 15; Elijah, 7, and John, 5. Bono’s two boys, Elijah and John, sat on the floor throughout the ceremony. Bono said John was disappointed that his dad was not presented with a Star Wars light saber. Bono said,

I assume he’s just an honourary knight, because he’s Irish, not British… he won’t be able to use the title, he’ll be like “Sir” Bob Geldof, who’s a knight but can’t use the title. Cute story about his boys though!
