“I was brought up to believe I could do anything I wanted professionally and, of course, be a mother at the same time — but I’m finding that it’s complicated. It requires a lot of thought and planning and I haven’t figured it out yet.”

David Caruso talks about fatherhood and its intense schedule

Tags: News

David Caruso was interviewed for this week’s edition of TV Guide and talked about fatherhood and the busy scheduling it requires. David said that when he is home and not on the set of his show, CSI Miami, he has a very regimented schedule. He said:

7:30 is when Elmo starts on Sesame Street, then its Little Einsteins and if I am lucky, I can squeeze in Mickey at 8:30. Then we go for a walk. Next, I put him down for a nap and I make lunch. Then, you’re looking at an afternoon of playground, snacktime and before you know it, it’s dinner, bath and bed. And let me tell you, I’m not up much longer than the baby is.

David went on to talk about how fatherhood has changed him for the better. He said:

I am 51 years old now and I see my life in the clearest way I ever have. Having a little boy has taken me to a very deep place. I am starting to realize everything I ever worried about was such a waste of time.

David’s son, Marquez, is 18 months old and he has another one on the way with his girlfriend, Liza. David also has a 23 year old daughter, Greta, from a previous relationship.

it’s nice to see a dad so involved! I have never been a fan of his, but he seems to be very involved as a dad. At least with his current children.

  2. lacyleanne Says:

I think David’s involvment with his children is great too, but you know the best thing you can do for a child? Be good to that child’s Mother. So what is David doing running around and sleeping with Eva LaRue? That’s NOT being good to Liza, for sure.

  3. tink1217 Says:

lacyleanne, do you know for sure he is running around with Eva LaRue??? Have you seen them having sex or something?

I thoroughly can’t stand those who perpetuate rumors! I try not to comment on things until a celeb has come out and said it to be true. Otherwise I would believe Jake Gyllenhaal is gay!

I am in no way defending Caruso, I said before he is not my favorite person at all, but its amazing how people believe everything they read. The good and the bad. I take everything I read and hear about celebs with a grain of salt.

  4. Anonymous Says:

Shrug. Men are like this. Just becausea kid is on the way doesn’t mean everything is okay in their relationship.

  5. Suzie Says:

How can she see them having sex? Please do not insult other posters. Disagreeing is fine, but please, no disrespectful comments towards other posters. Caruso is known as someone who has a roaming eye for the ladies – children or not.

  6. Suzie Says:

I agree. We all know that a kid alone can’t save a relationship. inappropriate comment removed.

  7. Anonymous Says:

Nobody knows what’s going on behind closed doors. A child or two are no proof for an intact relationship. Maybe she is okay with himhaving other women on the side. I’ve heard the couple fights a lot.
Anyway it is not our problem.
