Andre Agassi chalks up time for kids and love for Steffi Graf
Now that Andre Agassi’s retired from pro tennis, he has more time to spend at home with his family, wife Steffi Graf and their kids, Jaden Gil, 5, and Jaz Elle, 3 1/2. Having done many of the parental duties while Andre was still competing, Steffi says one of the benefits of having her husband home more is that they split responsibilities now.
He’ll drop off, you know, one of the two at — at the preschool and, and then we — we switch in the afternoons.
The couple has even traded in their minivan for two hybrids to accommodate their chauffeuring purposes. And Steffi’s hard work as a wife and mother has never been lost on Andre, who shows his gratitude for Steffi on an "appreciation board" – a chalkboard in their kitchen on which he writes notes to his wife every night before he goes to bed for her to wake up to.
Every morning I go down to the kitchen and prepare the bottles for the little one, and I’ll be able to read, you know, something very special for the day. [Today's message was] ‘Thank you…for being there for the kids.’

That’s really sweet.
Though, bottles for the little one? I hope that’s some kind of slang for ’sippy cup’ or something.

Jessie I was just thinking the same thing…….sweet of Andre but 3 and a half is way too old for a bottle!

And the mommy police strikes again!

alexasdf, I was thinking the same thing!
as for what my hubby and I do for each other to show appreciation?? Little things mean the most. My husband works at Disney and knows I am a tinkerbell fanatic so every week or two he brings home a new tink pin for me. and every week or two I buy him a new pack of hockey trading cards…he still collects trading cards. Has a closet full of them. But, its a nice and inexpensive way to say “I love you and thanks or mowing the lawn or taking out the trash. Or for being such a great dad”.

Ever since I saw Andre speak at his wife’s induction to the Tennis Hall of Fame, I have been so moved by the way Andre speaks of Steffi. His words showed so much love, respect and admiration for her.
Glad to see he continues the behavior in their everyday lives. What a great example!

What a good idea. It would be so affirming
to wake up to notes every morning.

Steffi probably mispoke when she said “bottle.” Remember, english is not her native language and she is not comfortable in front of a camera. I’m sure Jazzie does not still drink from a bottle!!
I really wish you guys would show more of Stef and Andre. They are a lovely couple.

Essie, I had forgotten English is not Steffi’s native language, that makes much more sense!
As for the mommy police … hardly. Regardless of if I think it’s ‘good’ or not for the kid to still have a bottle, it’s terrible for his teeth at almost-4. (My nephew took a bottle till nearly 5 and he’s had SO MANY cavities, as has EVERY child I’ve met who took a bottle past 2 or so … and that’s a lot of kids, because I worked as a nanny.)
