New mom, Tori Spelling went jogging with husband, Dean McDermott in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. They welcomed son, Liam Aaron, four weeks ago. Tori had a cesarean section and normally it is recommended that you wait 6 weeks before exercising, but it can be a shorter period of time depending on pain and comfort.

I started walking and riding my horses four weeks after my c-section and I was fine. I took it easy at first though and gave my boy time to come back slowly. Everybody heals differently though and I was just lucky.

I was up and around about three days after my section, but because I had to have rib spreaders used (my son was WAAAY up under my ribs and caught), I couldn’t lift anything for more than 6 weeks, including the baby. I didn’t even exercise until about three months after the surgery because my ribs didn’t heal properly.
To this day, I still have back troubles. But it was worth it for my miracle boy!

After gettting over my laziest and realizing that some of the fat wasn’t going to just fall off like with my first I started when my son was around 6 months.

I was going for long walks three weeks after my c-section. But I think I was rare because I felt no pain with a c-section. The more you walk, the faster you heal (as long as it is ok with the doctor).

I followed the rules to a “t” and did not begin until after my 6 week check up but more for fear that something would go wrong than anything else. I applaud her, if she feels great then that’s awesome…while I felt great as early as my 3 or 4 week postp,I wasn’t brave enough to take a run!

During my first pregnancy I gained over 40lbs which was a lot for my body type. I am only 5′1 and 90 lbs so I was tiny. After having my daughter I was terrified of not losing the weight. Thankfully I never exercised. 2 days after my daughters birth I put on my old jeans with no problem. I was very lucky and yes im people were ill that i could do that right after giving birth. When my daughter was 9 months old we got pregnant again. I gained almost 70 lbs this time. I didnt think anything of losing the weight because it was easy the first time. Well boy was i wrong!! It took me almost a year to get back to the way the looked before. I still have on some of the weight but Im glad. I got sick of being so skinny. Now i can proudly say I weigh 110 and I love it too!! I lost the weight with my son by running after my daughter. Thats the best excercise!!

I lost a ton of weight by breastfeeding. I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by my 6-week postpartum checkup, and shed another 10 pounds after that. I started post-natal yoga after my 6 week check-up and loved it! I still do yoga, and am planning on doing the post-natal classes again after I have this baby at the end of June.

I waited til the 6 week mark and still felt uncomfortable doing any ab exercises so i took it really slow. With #2 I did the same thing. I waited til 6 weeks and took it very slow. To this day I still have about 20 pounds of “baby” weight that just didn’t go away.

good on her,i say! the full length pic shows her fab legs held up well during pregnancy and she did say she’d get fit when the time was right, so either it’s time or she doesn’t want any more fat taunts. good luck to both of them & before long, liam will be toddling along between them too =)

I must be a freak of nature, but I lost NO weight while breastfeeding, I actually GAINED! Go figure….every woman is different.

Although I looked huge with my daughter It was all tummy weight.Yeah I looked puffy here and there but after I gave birh about 3 weeks later I was back to my normal size of 110 pounds. I went from 110 to about 125 with my son.I have always been small, but you could always tell I was pregnant. “Very” pregnant.

I always feel it’s best to follow the doctor’s advice on this stuff.
I’ve learned from my mother and other women who DIDN’T listen what can happen when you don’t.
My mother’s uterus was not in position (it was tilted) because of lifting and carrying me too soon after the birth of my sister… and having a doctor push it back to place is not fun… and she has always had trouble with the feel of how it’s all situated since.
I’ve known some women to literally say that theirs feels like it’s falling out… that they feel it fall forward at times… and have to wear girdles to feel normal.
I followed my doctor’s directions about aftercare to a T with all my kids… and even my mil’s advice that, after having a baby, no matter how good I felt, not to push a broom or anything (getting down on all fours and lightly dusting/wiping the floors would be fine, but pushing can stretch you and make the bleeding a LOT harder), and I was better for it.
I didn’t listen about the broom at first, because the visiting nurse was coming, and I learned the hard way by getting really dizzy and having some heavy bleeding with huge clots.
So always take your doc’s advice and rest up.

I could not even walk and sit right until 2 months after my c-sec (I poped some stapels that night when they asked me to slide into my bed) I was very sick. Its been 4 months and Im now working out at curves.. Before I tryed but my scar hurt alot. But Its ok now.. I hated everything about the c-sec…
