Leah Remini’s new show: “In the Motherhood” webisodes
Celebrity mom Leah Remini won’t be out of work for long after her hit CBS sitcom The King of Queens ends this year. The actress is set to star in a new program, called In the Motherhood, that will be exclusively aired on the internet.
The five-episode series, which premieres on May 11, will be based on real-life stories that have been submitted online and voted on, then developed by professional screenwriters. It will showcase the "ever-hectic but always humorous" lives of three girlfriends who share the bond of motherhood.
The show will be made accessible with multiple options for viewing. In The Motherhood will air on MSN at inthemotherhood.com and on the show’s sponsor’s (Suave and Sprint) websites. Clips or possibly whole webisodes will run for about five minutes and are also set to air on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, with Ellen prompting viewers to vote and submit their own tales of motherhood.
As a mom to 2 1/2-year-old daughter Sofia Bella, Leah has her own experiences in motherhood to bring to the series.
